Hotel Royal Fromentin
11, Rue Fromentin - 75009 Paris
The Hotel Royal Fromentin is located between Montmartre and the Opera and has been completely renovated this year. It has preserved its authentic character while offering every modern comfort. Warm hospitality, thoughtful service and assistance will make your stay a pleasant one. The lobby, once a popular cabaret Le Don Juan, preserves the charm and spirit of the 1930s with its original wood panelling and theatrical decor. IStart the day with fresh Parisian croissants served in your room or in the breakfast room. Relax in the grand salon and enjoy a cup of tea after a day's touring, or sip an aperitif at the bar before going out to dine in one of the neighbourhood restaurants. The Hotel offers 47 rooms with every modern comfort and a spectacular view of the Sacre Coeur.

You cant find the location on map! Quit worry about that when there was a fire because all wooden furnitures and carpets,no fire extingusiher in room! Room is clean but small, noise at night, lots sex shop around that area, with px under 100Eur is reasonable..

Very happy with location and hotel. Due to exceptional temperatures could have done with air conditioning in bedroom. Will use Venere again for future bookings.

As you enter this hotel, you know it is going to be special. Wooden beams, painted wooden panels, art noveau influences. This was our second visit to this hotel, and we were very pleased to have the same room again. A very spacious room, one of the best in the hotel with a view to Sacre Coeur. The paintings on the wall are copies of Cezanne and Monet - not prints. We have the choice of two double beds. The bathroom has a bath and powerful shower. Breakfast was simple and included in the price. It is a must to sit in the lounge bar and soak up the atmosphere of the place. Bar charges were very reasonable. 12.50Euros for a half bottle of good wine. The hotel has an informative booklet about the area, the artists, writers and the absinthe. We did the "Stroll through time" walking tour detailed in it.Interesting and easy to follow. The staff were friendly and helpful. They looked after our bags after we checked out. The hotel is just off the very lively Boulevard de Clichy. The windows are double glazed which blocks out the noise. Could be a problem if it is very warm and you need the windows open. The hotel provides an internet terminal free of charge. The lift is really quaint and the windows in the stairwell very stylish. This hotel is strongly recommended. Right in the heart of Pigalle and Montmartre. It is one of our favourites.

Building work was in progress nearby - but didnt detract much from my experience here. Close to the Red Light district which isnt very appealing, but i must admit that the area felt quite safe and secure. Ideal for visiting Sacre Coeur ( a must see with the best view of Paris). I'd definately use this hotel again.

If you can forget that the major porno district lies between you and the metro station, everything else is fine. There are some real pieces of art in this hotel, like the elevator or the decorated glass windows in the stairwell. Staff were responsive to all our requests.
