The hotel was basically what we expected. We wanted a reasonably priced room strictly for sleeping purposes. We had a twin and it was most adequate as far as size. We had trouble getting clean towels each day. We knew the person on the desk understood but it seems the housekeeping staff was not getting it. We even left our towels on the floor one day only to come back and find they were hung back up! If I used the hotel again I would ask for a room on the back of the building. It was quite noisy on the front of the building as we had to keep our windows open for ventilation. The hotel was well situated for us as we had two metro stops to choose from. Great restaurant up in the Canal St. Martin area - The Marina. Overall a good experience. The yound lady on the desk most days was extremely nice and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mondia very much. In particular the staff was excellent and most helpful when we needed to find some medical services for my daughter. The position of the hotel was very good with convenient metro. We would return there.

My family of 3 adults stayed at the Hotel Mondia for 7 days. Our first disappointment came when we arrived to find that we were unable to have 3 single beds as requested despite the fact that we had first confirmed this information over the phone before booking and had sent email messages with this information. We were told on 3 consecutive days to wait until the following day. Finally we were offered a 3rd bed in another room at an additional cost. The desk clerks tried to be helpful but were often stressed and somewhat argumentative. The cleaners were friendly and the sheets and towels were cleaned every 3rd day. It's not a bad price for the room but there were additional taxes added which I might have overlooked when booking. Good location.

It is a good place to stay for the excellent location and the surroundings. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a cheap and central Hotel in Paris, and you do not have children.

Basic and simple, but cheap and well located, within easy walking distance of Picasso museum and Georges Pompedieu. Staff are pleasant and firendly.

I would like to explain the reason why I rate this hotel as poor. I stayed at this hotel with my friends (5 Japanese including myself). I reserved two rooms, 1 Triple and 1 Twin. This triple room was the source of problems. Before I stayed this hotel, I thought that it was obvious that a triple room includes three beds. However, this common sense disagreed with the common sense of this hotel. The triple room of this hotel had only two beds (1 single bed and 1 double bed). This is our first surprise. So, we complained of this insufficiency of beds to the front desk. Then, the desk clerk said that in the description of the hotel web site the triple room is defined as a room with 1 single bed and 1 double bed. However, I cannot still find this description in the web site of this hotel (venere.com). Even if the web site includes this description, this absurd definition of triple rooms should be emphasized much more in the web site. This is our second surprise. The final surprise was caused by the impoliteness of the desk clerk. During her poor excuse, she also said that the double bed is sufficient for two Japanese since Japanese are not big, and she said something further insulting that I hesitate to write here. We were surprised by these impolite statements. Although eventually the hotel set a portable bed in the triple room without bed making, we had to pay an extra fee. We cannot still agree with this extra charge, and her insulting statements made our travel in Paris displease.

The staff was very friendly and did their best to help us using English, because we had very limited French. It was a nice stay. I think I would have chosen a different neighborhood however. The Republique is a very busy, noisy area and I would have preferred someplace a little more cozy.
