Hotel Merryl
7 Rue Pajol - 75018 Paris
Hotel Merryl is a typical Parisian hotel with bright blue awnings, located in a quiet street in the 18th arrondissement, just 100 meters from the Gare du Nord. With simple white walls, warm patterned fabrics, and modern furniture, the 34 guestrooms all have private bathrooms, televisions and telephones. Guests can opt to start the day with continental breakfast, and can enjoy coffees during the day in the café. The hotel offers a round the clock front desk service with multilingual staff; complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby. This centrally located hotel is convenient for visitors to Paris arriving on the Eurostar and is well connected by public transport to destinations throughout the city. The hilly streets, artists' workshops and street markets of the Montmartre district are one kilometer away, as is the Cité de la Musique at La Villette. Orly airport is 20 kilometers and a 35 minute journey away, and Charles de Gaulle is around 30 kilometers away.

+ The location of the hotel is very good. Although it's a little walk from the city centre, it is very close to a well connected Metro station. - I felt the hotel was a little expensive, although I guess that's true of all the hotels in Paris!

dirty stay here if you want an inexpensive room in a good location (for getting to other places), if you have lots of loot, go elsewhere

My advice - stay only in the 1st,2nd,4th, or 8th Arrondissement. You will enjoy Paris much more and be closer to the attractions and shopping. Stay away from the 10th and 19th Arrondissements, as they have nothing to offer other than feeling like you are in the ghetto.

- No warning or phone call indicating we would have to check out and travel to a different hotel each night of our stay.....very unprofessional!

ok place but becareful i was aware from other reviews that the room would be small however we coudl not fit 2 meduim sized suitcases into the room its self it was that small. there was a massive hole in the wall too and the walls were discoloured the bed was comfortable and you do get what you pay for. the hotel was very close to the la chapelle metro stop and only 5 mins walk maxium from gare du nord the staff were ok however do your research about trains to and from the airport or there are people out there that will exploit or try to exploit you for extra euros
