Exceeded my expectations by some way. Superb location and hotel spotless!

This hotel is an example of 'you get what you pay for' It is non intrusive, and what staff you did see were polite and helpful The room was small but adequate for a short stay, and ok as long as you don't intend spending the day in there. Storage space was minimal, but again, ok for a short stay. It was clean and tidy, but lacked amenities such as tea/coffee makings, again a reflection of the cost. The bathroom was not suited for the 'larger' person, but was functional and clean. Situated close to the Metro, and there are plenty of bars and eating places within walking distance

Great location, very small room. But with this location and the rate, that's what you should expect. A good choice for individual travellers who just need a bed, and private bathroom, and proximity to the great places nearby.

Excellent location, near the restaurants & bars of the Latin Quarter. Also across the road from the metro. The staff were friendly and helphful. The only downside is the small rooms & tiny bathroom.

Room adequate, bathroom was far too small. Staff was very accomodating. Location excellent. Good value for price in Paris.

The concierge who checked us in & was there two out of our 3 days was very friendly, helpful, accomodating. We originally had a 5day reservation which had to be changed when we got there due to a family crisis. He advised us that there would be no problem with the change in reservation & said everythng would be taken care of and not to worry. Very friendly. The hotel is right around the corner from Boulangerie Monge, which is one of the best in the world. The room was not dirty, but not really clean either. It was the smallest of any hotel room we had stayed at (we stayed at 4 others on our 17day trip), and my bed had dirty smudges on the sheets and bedspread. The bathroom was tiny and dirty, and you couldn't get out of the shower without brushing your side or back against the wall. It took 5 hours & two requests to get more toilet paper when we ran out!! When we went to check out, there was a lady working there who tried to charge us an extra night for not cancelling 48 hrs in advance, even though, as said above, we cancelled 2 days in advance of the days being cancelled. After a half hour of arguing, she still charged us 30 Euros extra because THEIR staff (see nice guy above) failed to contact the booking agency about the cancelation. This stay started off fine, and ended terribly wrong. You might be able to save a bit of money by staying here, but I would recommend splurging a bit more to stay somewhere clean and with efficient staff.

too small room, you hear EVERYTHING from the rooms around. the cleaning lady tried to enter in the room in the afternoon, when I was sleeping. Location difficult to find.

It was a great area to stay in, close to metro, restaurants. Staff very helpful, friendly and always smiling. What you get for price was insane, the space was so small. No added bonuses a/c or breakfast which would have really brought up the value for money. Room so small, could barely find a place to put your bags down.

PLEASE NOTE THAT MY EMAIL ADDRESS HAS CHANGED TO: chriscaryerpm@tiscali.co.uk Our stay in October last year was very pleasant but unfortunately marred by the theft of my camera + accessories and binoculars. The evening duty person was not as 'streetwise' as his boss; he accepted a cash payment from the thief who had 'walked in off the street'. The thief raided three rooms over a couple of hours, taking a laptop computer and £300 cash from the other rooms, and was gone by 9pm. My partner had seen him with a laptop going into 'his' room. He even knocked on our door before we went out for dinner feigning "sorry, wrong room"! The staff next morning were very helpful regarding locating the local police station. At least we were insured and managed to obtain a full refund on the stolen items. It was apparently the first time a theft had taken place in the 15 year tenure of the proprietor. We are still more than happy to recommend this hotel to other potential guests.
