It was clean, good sized rooms, great location and friendly service. The employees were very helpful for those of us who did not speak French. There are some great restaurants within a few blocks and a place to catch the tube.

15 min walk from the Gare de Nord. On the very busy Magenta boulevard but the room and hotel was quiet. Good area for access to mainline railway stations and metro for getting around Paris. Plenty of local restaurants and shops etc. Buffet breakfast was adequate. TV worked fine and the room had a fridge, desk, chairs and the lighting was good enough to read by which isn't always the case. The bathroom facilties were good with effective shower.

Good value-priced hotel Very pleased with Hotel Magenta. My room was small (Euro-style) but immaculately clean, comfortable, quiet, and conveniently located on the No. 5 Metro midway between Gare du Nord (train service to CDG) and Place de la Republique, well situated for exploring the Marais and central Paris. The hotel was recently renovated, and the breakfast buffet had a good variety of hearty fare to start your day. Not fancy, but an excellent value.

The good news...rooms and public areas were very clean; included breakfast was good; very handy to Metro, staff were good; the bad news is that the rooms ending in "1" were very small--even by Euro/UK standards and the window faced into a dirty inside space--would not stay there again for this reason

+ This is a great hotel! the staff is friendly and fluent in english, and they upgraded us to a nicer room upon check-in without request. the rooms were very modern, with a flat screen tv, and nice furnishings. our room faced the street with doors opening to a balcony. i picked this hotel for the location, it's walking distance to the metro, and close to the train station. there are great restaurants near by. it's a great value, and i would stay here again!

The hotel met our expectations, and was quite good value for the tariff. The staff were attentive and helpful in most cases, with good English to compensate for our poor French. The Rue Magenta is extremely busy with high traffic volumes but the hotel w
