the room wasn't luxuriuos but very comfortable! The lobby was gorgeouse! Amazing little boutiques walking distance. Cab ride away from great restaurants. Not in the heart of Paris but overall wonderful!

Although the lobby was beautiful, our room was dirty and in poor repair. The tiles in the bathroom were broken. Bedspread was dingy as was the general appearance of the room. Our view was the back alley of the hotel. We were delayed hours getting into our room because of a previous client's late checkout; thus 1/2 day was wasted in Paris.

We got a deluxe room, and I would compare it to a lot of rooms you would get in New York. It's not very spacious. The room was pretty luxurious, however. The hotel dates from the 1920's and it was showing it's age a little bit: the paint was peeling in the bathroom and the wood looked old. But the room was more than adequate. The turn down service we received every night was very nice. Everything in this part of town is expensive, and the hotel is no exception, so be prepared for that if you decide to stay here. Also, most of the restaurants in the area close fairly early (

The only factor that this hotel has going for it is the excellent location.

Good location on the left bank, across from Bon marche. If you are willing to pay, they even have a suite called the Eiffel suite with an amazing view of the Eiffel tower. Some other suites also have nice views of the Eiffel but not like the one in the Eiffel suite.

I was worried about my holiday bc of other people's grizzling and moaning reviews, and I would like to say I had a wonderful stay at the Lutetia. Our room was spacious, very clean, well serviced every day and a pleasure to be in. Everything was in good condition and felt comfortable and luxurious. Of course there is the odd waft of tobacco, you are in France, where there is a more relaxed attitude to life. Go with the flow and enjoy the cultural difference. Food was amazing and waiting staff were very polite, charming and could not do more for you. You get the service you deserve, if you are charming they will be charming. Again the cultural difference. The hotel is interesting historically and architecturally, location is amazing for exploring and could not recommend it more.

We got the worst room in the hotel. The air conditioner broke and we had only one window over a back alley.

We stayed for five nights and had two adjoining rooms. The staff was excellent; everyone spoke perfect English, were helpful and friendly. The rooms are very large and comfortable. The bathrooms are new and very nice. We had a terrific stay at the hotel. Also, the location is perfect for sightseeing (the metro is across the street) and there are many excellent stores and restaurants nearby.
