Hotel Le Clos Medicis

My wife and I stayed at this hotel when we were in Paris for Thanksgiving in 2005. My cousin lives as a expat in Paris and he recommended this hotel. It was a nice hotel with good amenities. The entrance/lounge area were recently remolded and its very nice cozy space, which is perfect to sit and have a coffee or drink and talk in front of the fireplace. The one downside is if you get the room we originally were placed (don't know the number). We got back from dinner and our room had filled with smoke from the fireplace, because it wasn?t vented properly. The hotel moved our rooms and gave us comp breakfast. Our new room was fine. Overall, a nice place that was clean and the price was fair. The location is very nice, because it?s just walking distance to Luxemburg park along with many of the great attractions in Paris.

Conveniently located small hotel near Luxembourg Gardens. Short walk to Odeon Metro and Luxembourg RER. Rooms small but extremely pleasant, with well-equipped modern bathrooms. Exceptionally friendly front desk staff.

The rooms, while very small, are very clean. The hotel location is excellent - just between the Sorbonne and the Luxembourg Gardens just off Rue de St Germaine. It is very quiet and the staff is very, very helpful.

This is very easy to get to from the Airport. The train line from DeGaulle stops less than a block away.

We would highly recommend this hotel, quiet, clean, friendly and above all, real air conditioning. The room wasn't huge but it had a lovely balcony. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a quiet side street of an otherwise busy area, close to the Metro. After visiting Paris many times, it has to be said that Hotel Le Clos Medicis is one of the better hotels,slightly more expensive than other 3 star hotels but after all you get what you pay for.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good english. Area good for restaurants and bars. Connection to metro less convenient but RER to Les Halles with many connections. Rooms comfortable but small.

this is a great hotel! I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the heart of paris with good transportation and near just about everything, including cafes!

The hotel was tucked away on a quiet side street close to the Luxumburg Gardens. We booked a superior queen and the room had nice appointments but was tiny and overlooked the interior courtyard. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful when asked for restaurant recommendations or directions. The only issue that prevents a two thumbs-up reommendation on this property was the size of the room. We travel in Europe frequently and have stayed in small rooms but at this price point size matters...even a couple of extra feet.
