Very nice historic building, very quite dead end road, but only 1 minute to walk to subway. limited tv channels

We had a terrific stay. Would definately come back next time we are in Paris (hopefully soon). This is a quiet street only blocks away from the gardens and the bustle of the Latin Quarter.

The shower in the hotel room did not work. When asking the staff to fix it I got the reply that I could take a bath or leave the hotel if I was not happy...that's first class customer service!!

The hotel was nice, clean (!) and friendly. What I found very dissapointing was the size of the room, and the darkness. It was so small that we could not even lay down our suitcases and comfortably move around. We had to carefully avoid hitting the bed when going to the bathroom. For the price, I think the room was too small and had too little light (only one window that openend into a small courtyard. Our "view" were walls. Positive was the location. Good neighbourhood, near subway - station and Parc Luxembourg. Walking to Notre Dame was about 10 minutes, which is good as well. Same goed for Saint-Germain du pres neighboorhood, which has nice restaurants, shops and bars.

We stayed at the Jardins du Luxembourg in March 2004. The hotel is located on a quiet impasse and our room had a view of a roof top garden on the dwelling across the street. It was too early for a splendid garden view but it was more pleasant than a wall of windows. The staff was courteous and helpful in every way. We were incompetent in French but they managed a solution for our every issue, tolerating our attempts at their language and easily shifting to ours when it was adviseable. The room was generous in size in my European experience but I am used to staying in less pricey places. It was perfectly clean, comfortably furnished, including a first class bed that kept us well rested for the entire week. The location in the Latin Quarter was adequate for our needs, a block away from the Metro and within walking distance of most of the premier Parisian sights for energetic folks.

In a short side street, so it is very quiet as there is no passing traffic. Small but very nicely appointed rooms in a way worthy of a boutique hotel. The beautiful Jardins de Luxembourg are a minute's walk away. Only ten minutes' walk to the left bank and Notre Dame. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Just 3 stops on the RER from Gare du Nord, if you arrive on the Eurostar or Thalys. A plaque outside explains that Sigmund Freud stayed in the hotel. I'll be happy to stay there again.

Very nice location (next to the Jardin Luxembourg; comparing to other hotels in Paris well sized rooms and a very good breakfast. Limited TV channels, but who will travel to Paris to watch TV?

I only stayed here one night, because I was flying from Paris the next day after a meeting in Bourges, and wanted a hotel that was both close to the RER line to CDG and also conveniently located for a day of tourism. This hotel really fit the bill. It is less than a block from the Luxembourg RER Station, which has trains to CDG every few minutes, and has a great location next to the Luxemboug gardens. The location in a cul-de-sac meant the my room was quiet at night, even on a balmy Saturday night when most of Paris seemed to be out of doors. Since my stay was so short, and I spent most of it away from the hotel, I've got less to say about the accomodations themselves. My room wasn't large, but it was comfortable and well-appointed. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I would stay here again under the same circumstances, and would consider the hotel for a longer stay in Paris as well.

Absolutly lovely. Very convenient location. Clean, friendly. The day concierge was most helpful, all staff were kind. Small sweet balcony from my room. Good breakfast. Will return in the spring and have recommended it to many others already.
