Hotel De Vendome

1, Place Vendôme - 75001 Paris

Location. The boutique Hotel de Vendome is located in central Paris, France, on Place Vendome, two blocks from the pretty Tuileries Gardens in the vibrant theatre district. The hotel is three blocks from the River Seine, the Champs Elysees and Opera Garnier. Hotel Features. Housed in a 17th century mansion, designed by Louis X1V's chief architect, the intimate Hotel de Vendome is opulent inside and out. The marbled lobby is filled with crystal chandeliers and Chesterfield armchairs. The hotel has a 24 hour front desk where multilingual staff can provide a range of concierge services, including sightseeing information and currency exchange. The grand Vendome Bar and Restaurant at the Hotel de Vendome is styled like a traditional British club with mahogany wood panelling and Chesterfield furniture. Continental or American buffet breakfast (surcharge) is served. For lunch and dinner, the restaurant serves French gourmet cuisine. A live jazz pianist plays Thursday to Saturday evenings. The hotel also operates 24 hour room service. The Hotel de Vendome offers meeting rooms and a Presidential Suite for conferences. The business centre can provide translation services, fax, photocopying, print and courier services. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas (surcharge) and complimentary newspapers are provided in the lobby. Guestrooms. The five storey Hotel de Vendome has only 29 guestrooms. All are wood panelled and individually decorated with designer fabrics, antique furniture and tapestries. Rooms feature wireless Internet access (surcharge), satellite television, fax machines, minibars and safes. Lights, curtains and music can all be remotely controlled. Expert Tip. The quickest way to get to one of the most famous attractions in Paris, the Musee d'Orsay, is by walking through Tuileries Gardens to the Passarelle Solferino. It crosses the River Seine just outside the museum on the Quai Anatole France, which is also a departure point for Seine and canal cruises.

Good location, Ugly room The hotel was in a good location on the right bank in Paris. The lobby was small and looked like a metro station which did not give me a good feeling before seeing our room. For all the romance and beauty of Paris, our room had none of that and looked nothing like any of the online photos. We had a deluxe suite that had tan-brown walls and red bedcovers, drapery and furniture upholstery. The room was dreary, dark, and very depressing. When we asked to change rooms, of course, nothing was available.

Nice but I’ve stayed in others I prefer Staff should be more attentive for a 4/5 star. Room service was slow. Watch-out for a suite on the 4th floor, windows so high up you can’t see out. Very strange. Okay for a one-time experience but I wouldn’t go back given the choice of other nearby 4/5 stars. Traveler's tip on shopping Great location for the serious shopper

Competence of employees is very weak. Payment for my living take off my credit card without calculation sum for you reservation. Total payment come in more expensive, than was pointed to you webpage.

A sleeper located just off the Place vendome, this little hotel is tucked off the corner near the Place Vendome. Each room is charming and quiet, even though located on a very busy corner. Conveniently located for access to all of Paris’s main attractions, there is easy access to the Metro and major bus routes, and walking distance to the Louvre and the Musee d’Orsay, as well as the famous boutiques and stores of Paris. Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay Free internet access in your room for one hour a day by room TV or wireless laptop.

When I read the reviews from other travelers I was a little concerned. Not to worry though, the place was amazing and the service was excellent. The staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, including dinner reservations and recommendations around the city. We will definitely stay there again.

Very Luxurious and unpretentious The Hotel was a very comfortable and accomadating. It was very clean and well maintained with attentive service. There was a fresh rose in the bathroom every day, a we were given a welcome bottle of wine and we were offered an umbrella if it was raining. The quality of the decor and craftmenship was very fine. The bed was a little stiff. The location was excellent near all the best shopping and walking distance to the Louvre. Traveler's tip If you like quiet, high quality, this is a good choice

Best Location in Paris 1 Place Vendome says it all. Great location, all the main attractions are literally within walking distance; a beautiful building, quiet, cozy rooms, free wifi. What else do you want? Traveler's tip for business travelers Taxis are hard to come by. Either walk or get a driver.
