We spent one night in the Suede St Germain. The room was perfectly adequate for a night, but might be a bit cramped for three on a longer stay. The hotel is located in a quiet road in the 7th Arrondisement (an area well patrolled by the Gendarmerie!) and within 15 minutes walk of the Eiffel Tower (our main reason for the visit). Very friendly and helpful staff on reception. Only a couple of downsides - parking near the hotel is very difficult and the nearest public car park is currently undergoing refurbishment and has limited spaces. Also, breakfast service is rather slow, which could be a problem for the business traveller.

Safe, Quiet & Convenient Location, but Small No-Thrills Room Don't miss the Sunday beautiful crowd and market scene in the colorful and hip Marais area. Also this is Paris, so bring your best clothes -- the Parisiens really care about their appearance and will be more solicitious to you if you do the same. It is considered disrespectful/gauche to walk out the door in sweats/wet hair/sneakers and if you're going to wear jeans and sneakers, they should be of the stylish sort, preferably with a jacket over the t-shirt.

We stayed for 3 nights. My single room was tiny and right next to the elevator so that I could hear the noise from the elevator all night through. Altough the room was tiny, the bathroom was not even on the same floor, but 1 floor above with a dizzying spiral staircase going up, which I had to climb up and down when going to the bathroom. My collegue could not sleep either because there were strange noises all night from the pipes in her bathroom. Her shower was moldy. I think that for this price you can find something nicer.

+ The hotel was great. We had four people in one room and it was very comfortable.

Desk service was good, but not impressed with room There was a rather large stain in the middle of bed spread, and the rest of the spread was dingy. The only pillows were roll pillows that were covered by the bottom sheet--not comfortable. The bathroom was clean, and the front desk was very helpful. And the location was nice, but overall, I do not think it was worth the money paid.
