+ The staff, they were the best, especially Marie! She made sure I was on my way to the airport in the middle of a transportation... - Breakfast was a bit skimpy, but that is about it!

Our only real complaint was that the room was extremely small. The nature of the tiny room size should be clearly presented in the literature. After three nights we moved to the Marais District where we found an excellent and larger room for a slightly lower price.

+ Excellent location. - The room was ridiculously small. The bathtub stopper did not work when I arrived, I reported it to the front desk and it still did not work when I left three days later.

The roooms in this hotel are very small, but it really doesn't matter as the location is fantastic - only a couple of minutes walk from the Seine. Strongly recommended as it is excellent value for money in such a wonderful location.

The Hotel de Lille has a great location: a block from the Seine, 2 blocks from the Musée d'Orsay, close to St. Germaine, etc. Alas, the rooms are quite small, and some are quite problematic. My first room (#14) faced the street (noisy), had the hotel electric sign right outside the window (too bright all night), and stank of mold and mildew, no doubt caused by water from the bathroom getting into the carpeting in the room. It took several complaints at the front desk to get myself moved to a different room (#42) which was a huge improvement over the first one. The staff was, for the most part, pleasant and helpful once I got into the 2nd room, but that first one was a nightmare. If you stay here (as noted, the location is fabulous) be sure to specify a room on an upper floor, not facing the street.

The hotel in general is fine, but lacks in charm or character You get what you see in the internet pictures. Service is excellent. Spaces are small, access to rooms is cramped, you can barely get in. Location is fantastic, very adequate for the Louvre, l'
