I'd go back There are two great restaurants right nearby in the rue du Faubourg St Denis - Julien, a relatively swanky French restaurant, and Derya, a Turkish family restaurant. It's very neighbourhood.

so-so stay avoid the McDonalds around the corner, you need to get financing to eat there. instead find a nice bakery and soft crossant and enjoy.

Can't wait to go back to Paris and to stay here again. There is not a lot of nightlife around the Hotel. If you want to be active at night, go to the Champs Elysees where some restaurants are open 24 hours. Great food and shopping! One last thing. Be careful with the taxis at the airport. From CDG airport the ride should not cost more than 35 or 40 Euros. I got a dishonest taxi driver who charged me 65 Euros!!! I recommend that you not accept a taxi from anyone who approaches you in the airport. Ask an airport attendant where you can get a taxi.

Very pleasant low cost hotel Hotel within 15 minutes walk of the Louvre and Opera but we found it very worthwhile to buy the red bus ticket for 2 days to get to other sights. Montmatre probably a 20 minute walk but quite easy via the Metro although you do need to change as Bonne Nouville tube does not directly go to the main attractions. All in all very easy to get to all main parts of Paris either by foot, Metro or bus.

Comfy room, friendly welcome The hotel has a nice marble floored spacious lobby and the reception was welcoming and gave useful tourist advice. On a small quiet street. Our room was very spacious plus had a large bathroom with twin sinks, toilet, bidet, bath and shower (although shower was hand held, common in France I think). The bed was very comfotable and the room was very quiet. No iron/board nor tea/coffee facilities in room. Restaurants and shops and metro all nearby meant getting around was easy. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food. The hotel decor is a little tired but not uncomfortable. In summary the hotel is a good, comfortable, and low cost base for Paris.
