A very good small hotel a few minutes away from the metro and RER lines. An excellent choice for a short stay in Paris.

My wife and I enjoyed staying at this hotel, which we selected on the internet. It's loction is ideal for the St Germain and St Michel areas of Paris and is about two blocks from the river. It is very close to a direct Metro link from Gare de Nord (Odeon station)Rooms were not huge but perfectly adequate, besides we spent very little time there other than to sleep. We felt the hotel offered very good, quiet accommodation, which represented great value for money

Not Impresssed For a three star hotel we expected a lot more. The problem we had with our room was that it smelled of mildew (along with our towels). The redeeming quality was that the hotel was in a great location.

A localização é o que de excelente há nesse hotel. De qq maneira, considerei cara a estadia devido saber que hotéis próximos estavam custando mais barato em cerca de 20 euros em média. The best of the best in this hotel is about the adress. The location is very good. The price could be less expensive in razon of the size of the room.

+ good location one block from Blvd St Michel - overpriced for what it offers: very plain rooms, expensive breakfast, etc. The hotel would be good value at about 2/3 the price

The hotel is very well situated near by Sorbonne and Jardin de Luxembourg and is really quiet. The rooms are rather small and the breakfast is very expensive (11 Euro pp). The only possibility to get something to drink is an automat in the lobby (no beer,E

Had previously stayed at this hotel some years ago shortly after it had been refurbished and was satisfied with that stay. NOT SO THIS TIME! It has become shabby and rundown. Walls are scuffed and in some places have holes in them , carpets stained and shabby. Our double bed had 2 single bed blankets which were clearly very old and pilling. The bathroom was never properly cleaned whilst we were there (e.g. the bin was never emptied). One Sunday morning breakfast was out of cheese , muesli , juice and fruit. On complaining , we were told that "the shops are closed on Sunday"! We were travelling with friends who stayed at the Central on our recommendation. Their double room , booked months in advance was clearly designed for a single (even only 1 towel in their bathroom) and after much protestation by our friends and denial by management they were the next day transferred to a bigger room. Difficult to understand how this hotel is able to maintain a 3 star rating (unless the rating is based on the ability to penny pinch!). We will never stay there again and neither will our friends.
