Hotel Au Royal Cardinal

+ Day staff was incredibly helpful. rooms were very clean and location was perfect...one block from metro and three blocks from notre dame. - Had to climb up into the shower, literally a two foot step up. exceptionally loud street noise on weekend nights.

attending conference event was allocated single room overlooking narrow well furniture old and uncomfortable room in serious need of redecoration bath/shower cramped atmosphere stuffy no public space for breakfast/meeting people

+ It is located in to Cite, Sorbonne, Patheon etc... but not noisy. Also I didn't feel dangerous for nights. - room was tiny. not much bigger than the bed, and the bed wasn't big. impossible to get into the shower.

+ great location - Would not stay here in the summer, too hot and you wouldn't be able toleave windows open at night because of the noise.

The hotel was actually in a great location. Close to the metro and right by the Notre Dame. The street leads onto the Isle St Louis. The room was small, but we are in Paris, i have yet to see a spacious room. THe bathroom as okay, but the beds were not too comfy. The only real problem we had was the noise. Someone either next to us or under us were talking very loud. It felt like they were in our room. We had to get up early in the morning to get to the airport and this went on until about 2am. I think the sound traveled through the heater. I would have to say that i probably will not stay here again, but the stay was not disappointing. It was mostly pleasant. The employees were very helpful and spoke English very well.

perfect position, in a nice aerea of Paris (Quartier Latin),very close to subway, supermarket, food shops, restaurants all round, perfekt hotel for sightseeing in Paris, close to most of the important sights,can really recommand it. Only the offered breakfast ist poor, coffee tastes terrible. Better to go out for breakfast.

+ Location is great, love the old stairways and little elevator. Bathroooms were good, and clean. Windows really blocked out noise. - pillows are awful, and no air conditioning, too noisy to leave windows open.
