Hotel Angleterre Etoile

Hotel Angleterre Etoile

21, Rue Copernic - 75116 Paris

Simple, good quality and affordable 2 stars hotel. Tidy, functional, Paris hotel in one of the city's most exclusive neighbourhoods just a few minutes on foot from the Arc de Triomph in the chic 16th district, an area of imposing grandeur and very convenient for visiting the Champs Elysees and the Eiffel Tower.Just 5 minutes walk from the Arc de Triomph (clearly visible at the corner of the street with Avenue Kleber) at the Place Charles de Gaulle (or "L'Etoile" as it is known unoffically amongst Parisians). A brisk 15 minutes on foot will take you to the Champ de Mars and the Eiffel Tower, taking you through some of the city's most sought-after residential areas, full of grand, elegant Haussman-era townhouses and exclusive boutiques. The hotel's rooms are compact, classically decorated, sound-proofed to ensure a restful sleep, with cream-tiled en suite bathrooms and WC, satellite TV and telephone. Some rooms either face the street or overlook an interior courtyard. Plenty of information on cultural events in Paris is available at reception, with leaflets, free maps and guide books (for reference use), plus a range of newspapers and magazines. The service is discreet and helpful, the staff will be delighted to help you decide what to do and where to do it. The nearest metro station is Boisiere, around 5 minutes on foot from the hotel, getting you to the former aristocratic playground of Jardins de Tuileries, the Louvre art treasury, and the lively shopping zone of Rue de Rivoli in 15 minutes. A whole host of destinations are accesible via the metro / RER regional train network from Charles de Gaulle / Étoile ( metro lines 1,2 and 6, RER line A), including La Defense and Disneyland Paris. Also conveniently placed for arrivals to Paris via the Air France bus service from Charles de Gaulle airport.A great value option in one of the most impressive, imposing areas of Paris.

Everything is good, but it's a little noisy. People in Paris always drive fast, even in midnight. When you live in the low floor and the window face road, it will be terrible.
