I did'nt like the small rooms and the rating they gave the hotel it should be a 2 star not a 3 star hotel though breakfast was good and the people in the counter were alright and the location was good and near the stops of the hop on hop off tour

The front desk crew was extremely helpful, especially the morning/day staff. They are very nice and provide you with precise information about the city sites, transporation, and prices.

It was alittle hard to find, as others have said. But, it was in a good location, near two metro stops that get you to all the sights. The room was a triple, actually spacious enough for the short time we were in it. It was very quite and clean. The first night, the desk person directed us to a nice home-style French restaurant. He even called to let her know that we were coming. Typical prices for Paris at this one. There are several restaurants within short walking distance too. A nice India one with excellent prices for Paris. Even though they offered breakfast, we were usually in a hurry to get to the sites early. It was cheaper to eat out. There are lots of pastry shops with little quiche pie slices and, of course, wonderful breads and pastries. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't mind walking short distances to the metro because it was definitely more quiet then the hotels closer to the metro.

Excellent value for the cost, with a very hospitable and friendly staff. Nice location in between the Grands Boulevards and rue Lafayette, close to several metro stops and also within a nice walking distance of Beaubourg, the Louvre, and in the other direction Montmartre (and the Opera quarter). For travelers who need internet access, the hotel has an excellent connection, which is included in the room charge. Breakfast is extra, but is an ample buffet with a good array of choices. All in all a very nice stay. The single rooms are a bit small, but clean. The larger rooms are quite spacious and nice.

My family of four stayed in the hotel for a week and found room size is a fair bit bigger than average in Paris. I rated facility and cleaniless only average based on western standard. It is a 10 minutes walk from Gare Du Nord and is good for people came from airport as they don't need to change service on RER on arrival. 5 minuites walk to metro. Staff is extremely friendly, helpful and speak good English.

I went for my first time to Paris with two friends and we stayed at Hauteville Opera. We went from 4th-10th october. The weather was great and we could visit everything we wanted. At the hotel gave us useful information to go to the places (Versalles, museums,...) and the nearly all the staff could speak different languages (english, spanish,...) so no problem if you don't speak french! Other good thing about the hotel was its location, close to the underground (Poissonière). I will return to Paris, and also to Hauteville Opera.

This was a nice and clean hotel. We selected this hotel because we were coming into Paris with kids, in the evening and wanted a place fairly close to Gare du Noord (as I knew the kids would be tired and cranky). If we knew exactly were we were going, it would be fine. But, we got off track and so the 10 min. walk turned into about 20-30 min. We stayed 2 nights and were only in the hotel to sleep and bathe (as the room we were in didn't have a shower). The breakfast was fine with your typical selection of pistolets and croissants, jellies, cold cuts, yogurts, and hard/soft boiled eggs (never know what you're getting) and drinks. If we had hot water in the morning of the second day, I would recommend this hotel as a quaint budget hotel for short stays.
