We just spent three nights in Paris and enjoyed our stay at the Chomel Hotel. It is close (around the corner) from the Sevres-Babylone Metro station and the Bon Marche shopping center. The double room (E110 per night on venere.com) was clean and cosy - not roomy. Our room (#22) had a balcony. We didn't hear any of our neighbors through the walls. Breakfast was available for E10 but we went elsewhere. In the lobby, they have a computer with free internet access to check hotmail, etc or surf, or upload flash memory cards for sending pictures home. The lift is small but great for a suitcase or two. Desk staff is there 24h / day and they lock the front door at night - they let you in when they see you. This is a great hotel to stay in Paris. We go to Paris frequently on our own minimal budget and this hotel fits the bill. It is a three star, but compared to other three star hotels in Paris where we have stayed, it's nice. Very clean rooms, great central location, We've gotten 75 or 80 euro per night prices for a double room for me and my husband. Usually other hotels in the same price range are outside the main parts of town and you spend all day in the subway getting to and from central Paris.

We found the hotel exactly as described on the comments of other people: the rooms were small and forget to enter in the elevator with your luggage: it is too small, two persons and no more can fit in. However the location is exellent, metro and monuments at waslking distance, the rooms and the bathroom clean. Breakfast is included although it is not the continental one: it was tea/coffee + a croissant and a baguette with marmelade. we would recommend it because considering the location, it offered good quality vs price.

1st visit to Paris. Hotel well situated and staff very helpful. Close to metro and a €50 taxi journey from CDG Airport. Ate at local recommended restaurants and had a great stay.

The night desk people were both excellent. The night before we had to leave for the airport, we asked the night desk person to arrange for a taxi to take us to the airport as the metro system was on a semi-strike. In the morning the taxi was late as all the taxi's in Paris were suddenly in high demand due to the increased need the now full blown metro strike had caused. Our night desk person, who was still on his shift, was phoning taxi's with 2 phones at a time making sure we all made it to the airport. In the end our taxi did arrive as promised, thanks to his persistance.

The hotel lies in perfect walking distance from The Louvre, Eiffeltower, The Dome. Transport to the hotel, from the airport (CDG) is extremely easy. The hotel lies on a quiet street even though it is situated so that it should be noisy - but it wasn´t. We were very happy with our stay. The only thing we could have wished more for, was a better breakfast, which was very poor.

Excellent value for money. Great location. Fine spacious room , room 54, but the extractor fan in the bathroom did not switch off, and could not be controlled. This unfortunately left a constant buzz. Other than that we had an enjoyable stay and would stay there again.

We loved every second of our stay at the Chomel. It is excellently located in the most beautiful area of Paris, within walking distance from the Eiffel Tower, Musee d'Orsay and the Louvre, there are many public transportation connections to all the other areas of the city. We loved the home-made bread and croissant they served at breakfast and the staff is very polite and helpful. The hotel offers free wi-fi internet in the rooms and there is a computer in the lobby that you can use. Make sure you take the metro to the Sevres-Babylone station, or ask the bus driver to let you know when to get off in the vicinity of this metro station. The hotel is a 3-minute walk away.

Location is best thing about the hotel with easy walks to anywhere on the river or south of it. The family room for 4 was fine as a place to lay our heads which was all we wanted it for really. Breakfast was adequate (roll, croissant, oj, tea/coffee and, crucially for the kids, hot chocolate and nutella! Other guests were mainly young-is couples which is not surprising given its proximity to the flesh-pots of the Latin Quarter which is a short stroll or lengthy stagger away. I feel lucky to have booked such a good establishment at such short notice!
