The hotel itself is clean and modest. The decor was not fancy, but not tacky, either. Someone commented that it was noisy and needed new windows, and guess what! We found brand-new, well-fitted, sound-proofing, fully-opening windows which looked out onto the street. I was initially alarmed to see an elevated train line directly in front of our windows, but quickly realzed that the rubber tires on each car were all but silent. And to our absolute shock and delight, a large and amazing street market appeared on Wednesday morning beneath those tracks (as it does on Sunday) and it was one of the high points of our trip! Shopping with the locals among the flowers, fruits, vegetables, cheeses, pastries, meats, funky clothes, fun jewelry and other treats were well worth a morning's exploration. We found good bistros and cafes in every direction. As well, the hotel is located between two Metro stations and is quite close to several very useful bus lines. It is also just across the street from the amazing Monoprix supermarket which offers enough ready-to-eat delectables to save a lot of money!

Excellent Location To be honest, there are several hotels like this in the area, but you can’t find them easily through Internet. Everything was great having in mind that we were at a few block from the Ecole Militare, the Eiffel Tower.. and the Metro Station is almost right in front. There are many cafe’s where to eat or drink, a McDonald right on the corner. Internet is provided by Orange by the hour, for a week I bought 10 hours for 10 Eur, and I found it difficult to use the full 10 hours or "effective time". Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay Get your GPS. Driving in Paris is beautiful an easy. It wouldn’t be as easy as US but it’s beautiful. The Hertz is just a block from the hotel. Have in mind, that "no car has theft alarm". Why would it be? Get the Bus Hop On, I would say the 2 days pass, the City Fat Tire Tour, finishing with wine on a boat tour over the Senna River that’s kind of a "fat tire" ride... trust me.!

Stayed here for French Open Visit This is a good choice for tourists who may want to go to the french open while also visiting paris. The a/c did not always work and it is a bit noisy with the windows open, so the room can get stuffy. It is in a great area with lots of charm, stores, food shopping and near metros. Very convenient six stops on line 10 to the Roland Garros stadium for french open tennis. Also easy to get to CDG airport, or any other place in central Paris. I stayed 10 nites so I got a flavor for this place. I did not do the breakfast in the basement because there are SO many local charming cafes and brasseries to visit. Check out Cafe Suffern with a prix fixe 9 euro petit dejuener (SP) down the road, it was nice. There are lots of close restaurants to visit and enjoy, as well as local food shopping if you want snacks and drinks in your room. There is a room refrig. which is convenient and they were very reasonable about putting your own things in there. I would say the rooms were good size for a modest european hotel, I have seen lots of smaller ones on the net when reviewing which one to go to. The lobby staff is nice and used to dealing with clueless americans. They called me cabs and shuttle service with no problem. Papers are in the lobby for reading with no charge. Overall, a good visit if just one or two people, who will feel comfortable (but in no way "luxurious") in the rooms. Be prepared to use earplugs to avoid street noise while sleeping. Bonjour! Traveler's tip on local attractions Wednesday and Sunday mornings - there is a wonderful market that sets up outside the hotel under the metro (6) that has great deals on sandwiches, fruit and other items you may need.

Small but comfortable hotel within 10 minutes walk from Eiffel Tower and close to Metro. Room small but functional and warm. Heater in bathroom and opening window for fresh air. Small lift but automatic fire doors, sprinklers and smoke detectors throughout with spiral stair case all the way down the centre of about 6 floors. Pleasant, dusky and good looking receptionist from Madagasca. Simple but satisfying breakfast in basement.

Well Situated The hotel is an ideal base for site-seeing, within walking distance of Eifel Tower, metro and bus service. Close to excellent restaurants and other shops. If you love the hubbub of city life, then this is your place. Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks Buy sandwiches, drinks etc; across the road from the hotel at Monoprix. As a breakfast or brunch, the crepes at the corner restaurant ( turn left as you exit hotel )is filling and tasty, sweet or savoury.

Nice little hotel in great location My husband and I stayed here while on our anniversary and it was very nice. The hotel staff was friendly and happy to help serve us. They arranged transportation for us to the train station the day we departed. The location was great too! There were lots of little restaraunts near by with shopping also! 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and directly across the street from the Metro station. Just overall a very nice experience for our first time in Paris! We would definately stay here if we ever go back. Clean and cozy room as well! Traveler's tip on dining Great little stop for crepes about 3 doors down as you exit the hotel on your left at the corner. Best crepes in town!!

Cleanliness and convenient location. This hotel was recommended to us and we found the location of the hotel is it's best selling point...w/our 7-night stay we were able to cover all the sites we plan to visit with its proximity to metro, Eiffel Tower, grocery and shopping, church, restaurants of all kinds are within walking distance. What is cool is we were able to join the celebration at the Eiffel Tower almost every night! We would definitely recommend it to friends. Review fr Toronto, Canada

A small hotel, but good for trips where you will not be spending time in the room. The hotel is in a busy, but interesting area. Not far from the Eiffel Tower with an array of shops and restaurants. The hotel is small as was the room. For trips where you intend on spending the majority of your day out, this was an good hotel. Service was good and the staff very accommodating.
