Etoile Trocadero Hotel Paris

my husband & i are americans who visited paris for the first time in february 2007. we booked a package through virgin atlantic airlines which included lodging at the hotel etiole trocadero. we LOVED the hotel! it's small, only 23 rooms and it is full of parisian charm. our room was a bit cramped but it was clean and had everything we needed including a safe & refrigerator. there is a small sitting room on the ground level with a laptop computer for guest's use and the basement level houses the breakfast room. the breakfast itself was a continental breakfast with coffee or tea and was delicious. if breakfast isn't included in your package it is well worth the 11 euro cost. as for location, the etoile trocadero is PERFECTLY situated. it is literally a five minute walk to the eiffel tower and a 10 minute walk to the arc du triomphe and shopping on the champs-elysees. moreover, it is around the corner from the metro, all of the sightseeing bus stops and dozens of cafes. on top of all that there is a small grocery store right across the street. the in-room refrigerator is stocked with soda, wine & water but we went to the grocery store and bought some ourselves. i can't recommend this hotel strongly enough. all of the staff speak english (everyone in paris does) and they were very friendly & helpful, especially when they learned we were americans. in fact, we detected no anti-american feelings anywhere in paris. as they told us "we love americans but we hate your president." anyway, you can bet that when my husband and i return to paris we will stay at the etoile trocadero.

very good value for money, on a prime location. very friendly and attentive management. Perfect Spanish speaking. Very easy way of doing business. I will certainly go back.

GREAT LOCATION. NEAR TO METRO AND EIFFEL TOWER. GOOD PIZZA RESTAURANT OPPOSITE. ROOM A LITTLE SMALL BUT OVERALL A VERY WELL MAINTAINED ROOM. CLEAN AND QUIET. RECOMMENDED FOR PPL GOING FOR A SHORT VISIT.

Ideal location for the Effeil Tower. Rooms are basic but good enough if you are there as a tourist and are intending to be out a lot. Receptionist was very welcoming and friendly.

The hotel was easy to find from the instructions given. The staff were very helpful, and the room was very clean. We had a very nice stay, and would happily return to this hotel.
