I have stayed at the Hotel duc de St.Simon seven times in the last few years. Each visit has surpassed my recollection of the service and understated elegance I had experienced previously. The location is superb. The staff is not only professional...

We just returned from two days at Le Duc de Saint Simon, a small hotel just off the Boulevard St. Germain. It was fabulous! It is very charming, it feels like a small, charming country inn, but is conveniently located near many interesting tourist attractions such as the Musee d'Orsay, Musee Rodin, Les Invalides, the Eiffel Tower and many more. Our room was incredibly charming, with a canopied bed and beautiful fabrics on the walls and linens. The room was small, but most rooms in Paris (and most European hotels) are, and it was so lovely we didn't mind at all. The bed was incredibly comfortable, with fine linens and pillows. It was very quiet, and we slept soundly both nights.

Duc de St Simon is extremely overpriced and overrated. We had a tiny tiny room overlooking a noisy street with a hard bed, frayed carpets, and bathroom floors that had not been cleaned in weeks. There is nothing "charming" about this place

I have stayed at the Hotel duc de St.Simon seven times in the last few years. Each visit has surpassed my recollection of the service and understated elegance I had experienced previously. The location is superb. The staff is not only professional and courteous, but charming and friendly. The hotel is one of the reasons we return to Paris frequently. My only hesitation in sending this review is that the hotel will become too popular.
