De Nantes
33, Boulevard Du Montparnasse - 75006 Paris
To appreciate Paris, the entirely renovated Hotel De Nantes combines modernity, comfort and a typical Parisian charm. Located in the heart of busy Montparnasse district, it will however provide you a quiet and perfect environment. In a few minutes from the hotel, you will get to Paris famous monuments, cultural places or business centres and fairs. The hotel also offers the possibility of booking its meeting room, which can host up to 20 persons.

Breakfast is not included in quoted price. Room was small but fine for one person. Very clean. Liked that the toilet was in the bathroom and not in a separate wc.

Very pleased with everything except that the room smelled of smoke - perhaps someone had smoked 40 Gauloises in there before we arrived! Perhaps leaving the window open when it was cleaned would have helped to clear the smell before we arrived. Apart from that we have no complaints - the bed was very comfortable!

De Nantes is a fine "boutique budget" hotel. Our room was very clean and the bathroom was nice (renovated). Its location is excellent--near several metro stations and easy to get to most parts of the city. Blvd Montparnasse is a busy street therefore there is some street noise, but no real complaint here. Staff was very nice and helpful. De Nantes exceeded our expectations overall and we can definitely recommend to the budget traveller.

I chose this hotel because of its cost and location. This was my second stay, and I will certainly stay here again. All that is lacking is wifi/Internet access; I wish that could be added--even if access needs to be purchased by the hour. The rooms are typical of this class of hotel: nothing luxurious but certainly clean and adequate. This time I was near the elevator, which was a bit noisy, but not disturbingly so. The people at the reception are cheerful and helpful.

The hotel was well located very close to Montparnase rail station. This is handy as we traveled by rail to Tours. Rooms were clan and tidy..although not spacious. Internal noise such as doors slamming would be my only negative comment. All in all it was very good

This was our first time staying at the Hotel de Nantes, and our experiences were generally good. The man on reception when we arrived was extremely friendly and helpful and understanding of our circumstances (as we had to alter our accommodation arrangements slightly) and he spoke excellent English. This man continued to be helpful throughout our stay, when one of our party suffered a bad injury. He was keen to help, and always inquired after us. We did not have the breakfast, and didn't really use the communal areas. The room suited our purpose (as a room just to sleep in). don't expect any good views or spectacular decoration. the room is satisfactory but not outstanding. I don't really know the website details, so i won't compare that and the reality.

the room was not good sound-isolated against neighbor rooms- we could hear the next rooms shower very clearly and that took our sleep

The rooms (especially the bathrooms) could do with re-furbishing again to get rid of the carpet tiles, woodchip wallpaper etc. No shower curtain or hook for the shower head in our bathroom which meant the rest of the bathroom was soaking for ages after. Rooms were adequate, clean but small. Not enough storage space or mirrors. Could have done with coffee making facilities as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful - Thibult speaks good English but you have to speak basic French to the others.

The room was clean, but threadbare. It was hot and stuffy; one window but no means of cross-ventilation, and no fan or air conditioner. The noise at night was ridiculous, hearing people coming and going, doors opening and closing on my hall, and even other floors. In spite of my initiating greetings with the desk person, the only real contact with the staff was being rudely accosted the first morning by demands for my roomkey. The hallways are dark with hard-to-locate light switches (on timers) and the elevator, if it arrives, can only fit 2 people, or one person with a suitcase.
