De L Odeon

13, Rue Saint Sulpice - 75006 Paris

The Odeon Saint Germain is a picturesque 3 star hotel situated at the heart of the Saint-Germain-des-Pres neighbourhood in Paris: a charming area once frequented by famous writers such as Paul Valery, Paul Claudel, James Joyce and Ernest Hemingway. The hotel is located in a building with walls dating back to the XVI century: legendary accommodation which offers all of the comfort of a modern hotel. The double and triple rooms are fully equipped and decoraed down to the last detail. The doubles are divided into standard, executive, Junior suite and Luxury, with a double bed and a bathroom complete with shower. Each of the rooms has a bed with history. Furthermore, all of the rooms have a safe, air conditioning, heating, Wifi Internet connection and a satellite TV. The hotel also has a bar, lounges and an internal courtyard offering guests a little peace and quiet. A fireplace in the cosy lounge gives the place a warm finishing touch. The hotel's surroundings offer visitors the possibility to experience Paris at its most bohemian. The Saint-Germain-des-Pres area was a meeting point for French literary geniuses who gathered at La Maison des Amis du Libre and their English counterparts in the bookshop Shakespeare and Company; Paul Valery, Paul Claudel James Joyce and Ernest Hemingway to mention just a few. The area is also full of popular restaurants like Lipp, le Flore and Les Deux Magots; as well as art galleries and markets. All the magic of Paris on your doorstep!

still a great location. Friendly staff. It's now a boutique hotel, some rooms are small but a good sized room is well worth staying in. Bathrooms compact but all newly decorated. Some may find the room lighting too low - it does adjust but perhaps not good for working in. We loved it for the location, metro nearby, good restaurants, shopping and the luxembourg gardens!

Excellent location. Very quiet street and 1' walk from all the restaurants. We stayed with our 2 year old son and our room was a bit bigger than the others but still a bit cramped. Although that seems to be normal in Paris. The attention from the employees was excellent and the breakfast superb!

This hotel was everything and more. Its location is perfect, since the metro is right up the street. And there is a perfect Italian place at the corner that is wonderful. the rooms are comfortable and have a very romantic feel to them.
