Hotels in Paris are almost always on the pricey side and this one is no exception. But it is close to Opéra; the rooms have been redone recently with taste, and although they are somewhat small they offer all one needs for a short stay in the city. I wou

The best thing about the Daunou Opera is its location - in the heart of the Opera area. Very convenient and the hotel is within easy walking distance to many of the sights of Paris. The rooms are typically small. The place needs a bit of an uplift and a repainting program seems to be underway - but nothing substantial. Bit run down. Staff were neither very friendly nor helpful but this is not unusual in most of the smaller Paris hotels. A good enough place to stay for a short time - and very convenient.

Great Find We had a great experience at the hotel although in the beginning was wary before booking the hotel due to some reviews I read. I thought location was great, and for the price we paid, it's an absolute steal. The room was pretty newly renovated in good condition, bed was great, etc. Most of the staff were helpful, some more than others. But the lack of shower curtain is weird. But that doesn't matter really cos the room was nice. Compared with several other hotels i stayed at before, I think this was a bit cleaner, newer and staffwas nicer. And this was definitely the best deal in terms of price. Would definitely go back.

Great location, small room! Do your research regarding the money exchange before you leave and take the Euros that you think you will need with you. There were some places really ripping off people with ridiculous exchange rates and fees.

Very pleasant There's a piano bar across the road that's got some character (and was, when I visited, full of characters...) Note though that it isn't cheap, so if you're planning on drinking all night, bring your credit card...

Great little Paris hotel Large hotel room are not that important in a beautiful city like Paris. We left early every morning and spent up to 13 hours on the streets and metro going from one fabulous attraction to another. Try to pleak a little French if you can. The French treated us very well everywhere.

Will stay again There is not a restaurant, but for 12 Euro you can get a "continental" breakfast, ie: cold meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurt, assorted varieties of breads and sweets and coffee and juice. However, we did find a little place down from the hotel that served an "American" breakfast of ham, eggs, toast and juice with coffee for 11 Euro. Guess it's just what ever you prefer. But, the breakfast at the hotel was quite fulfilling if you like your breakfast cold. We ate there 2 times and it was delicious.
