My family and I (four people) spent four days in Paris after spending three days in London, and we were pleasantly surprised by both the size of the room that we were given and the friendliness of the staff. The location was amazing. We walked to Notre Dame, the Louvre, and all through the Latin Quarter daily, and it was a quick metro ride to the Eiffel Tower, and Versailles. After our stay, we left for the Charles De Gaul Airport, only to get there and find that our flight had been canceled, hundreds of tourists were displaced for the next three to four days, but we called the Claude Bernard, and they welcomed us back without hesitation, although we were very frustrated with our airline, we were so pleased with the Claude Bernard and their impeccable service to their guests. Our canceled flight could have potentially ruined our wonderful trip, but because we had a place to stay, our minds were put at ease. The rooms were very clean, the breakfast was incredibly delicious, and most of all, the staff was helpful, kind, trustworthy, and friendly.

Claude Bernard was full so we had to go the the Sully St Germaine just up the road. This was just beautiful and we loved our stay here. I am sure the Claude would have been the same as it looked delightful. The location of these two hotels is perfect for walking to the Seine and Notre Dame etc. Plenty of eating places. Really loved out stay here.

The single open staircase is in case of fire dangerous (I did not see another emergency exit from the fifth floor).

+ The location is good for anyone who wishes to spend time in the Latin Quarter. - The rooms can be noisy - sound travels between the guest rooms.

Accomodation was already medium, but better than other I've found in Paris; just an trouble on check-in, because the room was not pre-assigned, and booked double room was not a "real" double, just a twin, without joined bed, just closest each other. Room was clean and have a nice wiev anyway, on the 5th floor (I've an corner wiev over Notre-Dame); just some furnishings need to be change (Bed, old spring matress, door and shutter; windows was new), because was a bit "old". Finally a good accomodation, with middle price, middle quality room and a good collocation in the city.

+ Posizione - The lighting in the room was not sufficient.. the bathroom was adequately illuminated but the bedroom was certainly not, it was impossible to read far away from the window!!

When we arrived (advised the hotel by previous email)around 9 pm after travelling since 10am that morning we were told that there was a problem with our room. We were taken down the road to another hotel (Hotel Sully St Germain)where we were given a very cramped and dark room for 3 (a double bed with a fold down seat/bed)with a window facing an internal courtyard covered in scaffolding which was undergoing extensive renovation. This was not a satisfactory arrangement particularly as opening the window was not going to be an option. We were subsequently given a larger and more expensive room plus a free breakfast (for the same price) because I made complaints to both hotels.I was very grateful for the efforts made by hotel staff to improve our situation. However our hotel stay was marred by this experience and being woken around 9am each day by workman banging away during the course of their work. We were also made to feel that our requests were unreasonable as rooms in Paris are usually this small. The room had very little walking space once the second bed was unfurled and the ensuite bathroom only allowed enough room for the occupant to turn around in a tight circle. The only seating available was on the beds which were jammed together.
