It is a golden rule not to leave money in ones room when travelling. Do not be lulled by the hotel's claims of high-tech security as we were. You risk paying a premium on top of the already high price for a room and you will receive no assistance from a most unimpressive hotel management.

Lovely location on champs Elysees Very comfortable place with fantastic amenities - just beware, the laundry service is an additional cost and the machines are downstairs - so plan accordingly. Beautifully appointed suite. More room than I thought it would have, and the bed was very comfortable with ample pillows!! Not what one would expect in Paris - better value than anticipated. I’d definitely go back. Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks Didn’t use their diningroom, preferred the Brasseries in the street, with fresh croissants or cafe meals. Supermarket 2 blocks away to get all your refreshments to stock up the kitchenette.

Would Return Again and Again We arrived 5 hours late (plane problems in London)worried about our room. The manager and his staff were very solicitous and offered us an upgrade if we"didn’t mind having an older, not upgraded studio". To our everlasting delight, we walked into a view of the entire Champs Elysees with the top of the Eiffel Tower in our direct view (with a light show every night)! This is a beautiful , quiet hotel, with an excellent staff who helped us with every request. A small kitchenette had a two burner stove, a mini refrigerator, small dishwasher and enough kitchenware for two. We bought breakfast and dinner supplies from a grocery store in the basement of the "Monoprix" (2 blocks away and very affordable) so we could enjoy long French lunches in the bistros and sidewalk cafes. The location was perfect, close to the Metro and walking distance to many sights. The studio was roomy, the beds comfortable and the view breathtaking. I would recommend Le Claridge to everyone. Traveler's tip Buy the 5 day Metro pass and USE it. You can get to all of Paris’ main attractions for very little money and you’ll see the real Paris along the way. We loved Versailles (a side, guided bus trip) but it was too rushed and too crowded to appreciate everything. The Seine cruise was a delight and worth the money.

+ its proximity to major attractions and metro lines. Spacious rooms. - I found other guests staying in similar rooms at the hotel with much cheaper prices - probably 39% cheaper!!

A few minor adjustments away from perfect! My first impression was "Oh No!". When I arrived there was only one person in front of me at reception. The clerk seemed to be helping him with some sort of non-hotel problem...and just kept going on and on and on...telephone calls, etc....I was patiently, but slightly restlessly standing there for over 15 minutes...without being acknowledged...until finally they finished and I was checked in. Upon entering my room I was really impressed, it was huge and elegant, much more than I expected or needed. The view was nothing though, just looked out onto their courtyard. A few things that bothered me over the course of my stay: 1) the internet connection was in the far corner of the room...far far away from the desk...stupid!...plus, the cost of the internet was astronomical! 2) could not adjust the temperature down low enough...the whole floor was kind of hot; 3) one of those half shower doors...so water all over; 4) the do-not-disturb/please-clean-room card disappeared; 5) I was gone from 8 am....back at 4 pm...and room service had not been performed yet, even though I left out the please-clean-room sign; 6) large wet spot of cleaning fluids left on carpet; 7) only three hangers in the closet! Most of these were just minor annoyances...if they only took a bit more care and used a bit of common sense they could solve most of these problems. Knowing what to expect I would stay there again based on its very convenient location and overall niceness of rooms. Traveler's tip on local attractions The hotel is conveniently located between two subway stations right in the heart of Champs Elysees. It’s just a short walk away from the Arc of Triumph...and a medium walk away from the Eiffel Tower, The Louvre and many other famous/popular attractions.
