It's a little out of the main attractions area but having stayed just off the touristy Champs Elysees near the Arch on a previous trip, this was actually a blessing.

Peaceful Paris head to the local market on rue mouffetard for local produce to take back to apartment, only 10 min walk away, closed on Mondays.

The concept of an aparthotel is good. You have staff on hand to address problems unlike an apartment rental and you have the convenience of a kitchenette, unlike a hotel.

Appartment hotel - brilliant idea but......... If you're unsure how often you will use public transport in Paris, buy a carnet of 10 tickets for 11.10 euros which can be shared and topped up as needed, and works for most transport in the city. They don't expire so can be used on the next visit- bus changes can be made with the same ticket within one hour of starting the journey now.

- The apart hotel does not have proper beds, only sofa cum beds. The carpet was stained and dirty. There were no spoons in the apartment. Only very irritating.

Spacious room, novel bed-settee system and kitchenette. Close to 2 metro stations and Place de Italie. Friendly atmosphere. Good value. I will stay there next time I visit Paris.

This branch of the Citadines chain is a bit out of the way - it's a brisk 40-45 minute walk to Notre Dame or the Louvre - but it's also considerably cheaper than the more central Citadines locations, and is very close to the Metro. It's on a quiet street

There was no bed in the room! Just a pull out sofa-bed. Very disappointing. Otherwise friendly service and decent location for an average price. Lacking any other facilities. Positive note: free broadband access from rooms
