Very Middle of the Road This hotel was clean and near a major metro line. It was convenient to the Guerre de Lyon train station but not much else. Specify that you want a bed. We ended up with a pull out couch only. Luckily we were only staying a few nights.

I stayed here for a few weeks and really enjoyed it. The rooms vary a bit in size but mine was very spacious. The kitchen, which helped cut down on costs by providing an alternative to eating out every night, was complimented by a farmers market that took place across the street on weekends. Great Metro access and also very close to a lot of clubs. Free internet access was a plus as well. I've heard some people complain about the fact that your room is only cleanedo nce a week but as long as you're capable of picking up after yourself it's not a problem. Overall, a great place to stay!

THE RIGHT HOTEL BUT IN THE WRONG AREA Check in was far from smooth as the electronic cards would not open the door, after 3 returns to reception a member of staff came up and we were then allocated another room. Again, the lock mechanism would not work and we had to return to reception - other guests had similar problems. After getting in some 30 mins after arriving the room itself was nice enough, but the drunks and beggars in the area adjacent to the hotel did not make it a pleasant stay. We are regular visitors to Paris and usually stay at the Ibis Bastille (in the same Accor Group) or the Cittadines Bastille, both are far more basic. We will return to Paris again but next time it will be back to one of the latter two, both which are clean but simple and in far nicer sorroundings.

Well worth trying It's easy to be misled by star ratings when booking hotels in Paris, although this one is an exception. If in doubt, knocking off a star usually gives you a better idea of what the hotel will be like.

Convenient, comfortable, good value Stayed here for 3 hot days and nights in July. The air conditioning was a great boon. The living room was a reasonable size with sofa that had a pull out lower section to make into two twin beds. Our adult son found that perfectly comfortable. My wife and I had a good quality queen sized double in the spacious bedroom. The kitchenette off the living room was perfectly adequate with two ring hob, microwave, fridge and small dishwasher. Although located on a busy boulevard just north of the Bastille the apartment was quiet. It also benefited from a large underground car park which was less than half full. The location was good - a five minute walk from the wonderful Place de Voges and two metro stations nearby. All in all a very comfortable good value place to stay if you want the flexibility of your own apartment.

Perfect place to stay if you want to have home like comforts The hotel is close to everything and if you don't have really large bags you can come to the hotel by train from CDG. There is a farmer's market in the front to buy fresh vegetables, meats, and cheeses at incredibly low prices. Make sure that you explore the Bastille and Marais neighborhoods by walking around.

Not a typical Paris hotel The Citadines flats are really good - especially in Paris where in typical hotel rooms there's not enough room to swing a gnat. They make you feel a little more at home.

Great Friendly Staff Be very careful when purchasing hot/soft drinks at cafes. Extremely overpriced , can add 30%-40% to a resturant bill.

Very good hotel/apartment, excellent location This hotel was very good and in an excellent position close to buses and metro. The staff were fairly helpful and the facilities good. It had a fully equipped kitchen (basic utensils etc.), a good bathroom and laundry facilities available. The only complaint was that the bed was not very comfortable. It was a pull down sofa type double bed, although we had requested twin beds. All in all, we would return to this hotel for its convenience, but would hope they change the beds!

Great family base Excellent location and works really well if you are staying as a family but want some privacy too. Quite spacious for an aparthotel and while not luxurious, it really delivers what it promises (for UK travellers think Travel Inn).
