The Charing Cross Hotel Paris had adequate and clean facilities. The free internet access was not available in my single room so was offered an upgrade to a double room for 20 euro per night. Opted to pay 15 euro for 10 hours access to the Orange wifi network which had an unreliable reception from the room. An iron was available from reception but no ironing board. The safe wasnt bid enough for a laptop and cost 3 euros per day. Had a restriction on keeping food in the mini bar fridge which most travelers would find inconvenient. A good location close to the metro. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and spoke English. A few small improvements would make this hotel a more attractive option.

Tiny rooms in great location The rooms were what you would expect from a 3 star hotel in the center of Paris. The twin room was a small double bed and a cot. The room was very hot so had the portable fan going all night (thus earplugs may be required). The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is situated close to the centre. The Galleries Lafayette is around 10-15 minute walk away.

Small, aging hotel but well situated The rooms are very small, but this is typical for the price range in European hotels. The windows had trouble closing, but the room was clean. Service is fine.

Excellent & honest staff. Left my camera behind after checking out but staff kept it safe for me to retrieve it.

Very well located hotel with less than average level of comfort and facilities. Our triple room on the 5th flour was very small, uncomfortable and worn-out. Renovated bathroom looks nice, but was extremely small. Moderate cold buffet breakfast. I’ll never come back to this hotel and, if you don’t need to be close to St Lazare train station due to any reason, I don’t recommend this hotel.

Everything is Extra Don't expect anything to be "included" in the price of your room. There is always another charge and for things like the internet, the charges are outrageous and there is no guarantee that you will ever be able to connect. The only thing to recommend this hotel is the location.

Nice place. this is a very nice hotel...a little outdated, but the rates can’t be beat and it’s in a great location. rooms are small. i’d certainly recommend this hotel to people who don’t plan to stay in their room much, just the basics and don’t want to spend a lot. Traveler's tip on dining There is a Monop grocery store right around the corner. Paris is expensive, but you can save some money by grabbing breakfast or lunch at the grocery and then spending more on a great dinner in the city.
