The Burgundy is an older hotel that felt very Parisian to me. It's charming and marked with rich colors, but it's definitely old. The elevator was just big enough to fit two people and two bags of luggage, very snug. The carpets were stained and outdated. It could use an overhaul, but it was still nice.

I very much enjoyed my first visit to Paris. Twelve years have passed since then and I've been back to France. However, Paris was very special. I keep thinking of this quaint place where I stayed for 7 days and enjoyed every one of those days. I know it was the service that I received that made us, my son and I, feel at home away from home.

This little hotel in the 1st arrondissement among giants such as The Ritz is a steal! Although it lacks the glitz and glamour of its neighbors, it is clean and comfortbale. The bathrooms are large, and there is plenty of closet space. We were there on some extremely hot days (90 degrees), and there is no air conditioning, so it got quite hot. But this is typical of Paris hotels. The location is perfect--just blocks from The Louvre and River Seine, as well as the metro just down the street. We were extremely pleased at the value for our money!

This was probably the best hotel my mother, sister, and I stayed in while in Europe. It's absolutely lovely, and I couldn't recommend it more highly. The location is ideal - the Musee Madelin and all the designer shops are down the street, the Paris Opera is only a few blocks away, and it's only about 3/4 mile to the Louvre. The service is impeccable - Allejandro, one of the front desk staff, was particularly helpful in booking reservations at restaurants and tourist attractions. Our room was beautiful, with one double room (complete with two closets, a desk, tea table, TV, and minibar), one single room (with it's own TV, closet, vanity stand, and fan), a bathroom with a spacious sink and tub, and a separate room for the toilet. Everything was clean and pretty, and the minibar items and room service were all reasonably priced. The breakfast included with the price of the room was phenomenal, with various kinds of eggs, yogurt, cereal, juice, and coffee, as well as delightfully friendly waiters. If I'm ever so fortunate to find myself in Paris again, I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else.

This hotel located in the most convenient location in Paris is a wonderful spot for tourists. You are steps from amazing shopping, museums, restaurants and gardens. The staff who all spoke English fluently were extremely accommodating and pleasant. The bathrooms are renovated and modern, the beds are very comfortable and the furnishings are nice. This is a place we have stayed twice and we will continue to stay there each trip!

The first night they put us up in a standard room which was the size of a bed plus some little walking space around it. The fans from the aircon could be heard all night. Then they discovered they had given us the wrong room and put us into a much larger

We were placed in this hotel while our hotel fixed the air condition of our room... the location was not bad, close to latin quarters, the museums, all walking distance. HOWEVER, the service was TERRIBLE, front desk was SO RUDE. The whole placed smelled like cigarrette so bad it looked they never washed the carpets. Our experience in Paris started really bad but when we got transferred to the DUminy it was changed. thank God, I will recommend this hotel only if you have no other choice! and I am not a picky person!~

+ That the hotel was in a central area and that the room was quite cute (attic style). - Given the American standards for comfort about bathroom necessities, the shower was a bit awkward and we found it took much longer to shower when compared to the typi

This was the largest room ever had in Europe. Three beds, large posh bath, view of the Madeline from the window, centrally located, good food.....I can't say enough good about it.
