The staff were very helpful. Everyone was friendly and could speak some English. They were ready to accomodate you in whatever way you wished. Breakfast was more that we had hoped for. Good selection of items.

The staff was the most friendly and accomodating group I've ever encountered traveling abroad. Always smiling and wanting to know what else they could do for me and my daughter. I can't wait to return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel...your hotel is the foundation of a visit to a new city and determines in large measure whether or not your trip was successful...our trip to Paris was a great pleasure thanks in part to the Hotel Victor Hugo...we look forward to returning...

The very clean bathrooms and the included breakfast.Phone and internet access - very expensive compared to what is available elsewhere.“A great location and the hotel was spotless. My only issue was the cost of long distance to Canada - $40.00...

I honestly loved EVERYTHING about this place. The staff were more than accomodating. They were knowledgable and helpful all the while smiling... kind and pleasant! I felt they went out of their way on several occasions for my daughter and I. (We were there 2 weeks) The rooms were clean, well equipped, stylish. I loved going on the roof and not believing how close we were to the Eiffel Tower...a great view from the roof. The staff might not want that to get out though...I don't think we were supposed to be up there. Nobody else ever was! So..... (Shhh!)... The breakfast was great...we got everything we wanted...and even ordered it in some days! It was always brought to us with a smile and there was always...too much to eat...though we sure tried! :) The neighborhood was so nice...very upscale and close to Metro. The laundry mat was just feet from the hotel...little bakeries..tiny groceries...wine shops..pastry shops...all just a hop from our hotel. We actually miss the place and are already planning our next trip this year!

On the third night of a six night stay, I walked into the bathroom at l a.m. and saw a COCKEROACH on the wall!! Screamed for my husband, he flushed it down the toilet. Next day I told the man at reception, he couldn't understand what I was talking about at first, then after alot of pantomiming, he realized what I was talking about, said he would report it to the Manager. After breakfast I went back to reception desk and enquired, Manager said they will take care of it and he also said that it happens .... The day before we were to leave for London we asked at reception if they could reserve a taxi for us for the next morning....we were told that this was not necessary, to just inform them 20 minutes before we required the cab. So, the following morning as we went for breakfast we asked the desk to call us a cab, they said they would. Following breakfast we came back to the lobby and again enquired about our cab. At this time, another man told us that there is no cabs available from the company that they deal with and that we will have to walk down with our luggage to the taxi stand and get one there!!! In Paris it can be easy OR it can be very difficult to get a cab. At taxi stands, people jump in front of others for a cab...cab drivers pick and choose who they will take. It's difficult...and we were quite upset at they way the hotel treated us in both instances. What hotel sends their guests out in the street full of bags and says get your own cab?
