Best Western Regent'S Garden

6 Rue Pierre Demours - 75017 Paris

The Hotel Regent's Garden is a private town house hotel, built by Napoleon III and set within the centre of Paris, 800 metres from the Arc de Triomphe. The public spaces of the hotel feature sumptuous fabrics, arches, moulded pillars and plush seating. The 39 guestrooms are individually designed with richly patterned fabrics and antique style furniture. Amenities include Wi Fi connections, air conditioning, minibars, television with satellite channels, in room safes, hair dryers, telephones. After breakfast (surcharge), guests can unwind with a speciality coffee in the hotel's Japanese themed garden, or make use of the Internet access corner in the lobby, for either business or leisure purposes. The hotel offers parking spaces (limited), a dry cleaning service and a meeting room with seating capacity for 15 people. The hotel is close to the city's popular attractions: the Champs Elysees and the Congress Centre are one kilometre away; the famous Louvre and the Eiffel Tower are both within three kilometres; the Musée D'Orsay lies four kilometres from the hotel. The nearest airport to the hotel is Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, which is 30 kilometres away at an approximate driving time of 50 minutes. Air France runs a shuttle bus service from the airport to the city centre. RER Line B and RER Line A run from the airport to Charles de Gaulle Etoile, the nearest metro stop to the hotel. Alternatively, taxis are available from outside the terminal and the fare to the hotel should cost approximately 40 Euros.

The proximity to the Arc de Triomphe was terrific as well as the nearby location of various cafes! Our room was fairly small but attractively decorated and adequate for our needs. The in-room bath facilities were generous and clean. On our May 2007 stay, we were located on the front side of the building and experienced no noise problems. Yes, we would return and would recommend the Regent's Garden Hotel to others.

Wonderful Staff The Regent’s Garden is a small boutique hotel in a residential district at the western end of Paris. It is not in the middle of a tourist area and there isn’t a Starbucks anywhere near it. That is part of its charm. One can mix with the locals at the nearby grocery, bakery and various other shops. It is a short walk to the Arc de Triomphe and a Metro station. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has a beautiful back garden and a gorgeous dining room, both of which have been recently renovated. Unfortunately, the remodel is ongoing, and depending on the room location, can be bothersome. The other negative is the restaurant/club next door. On some nights, the music is quite loud and goes on into the wee morning hours. Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay Unless you’re in a rush, don’t take the Metro. Walk, walk, walk. You’ll experience Paris and burn off some of the calories from all the rich food you’ll be eating!

Nice hotel. In a good walking distance to the metro. Rooms were small but functional. Unfortunately the room next to our room was under construction, so it was quite noisy.

Wonderful little hotel - friendly staff and when in Paris - that makes a huge difference. Very helpful. A bit out of the way but only a 5 minute walk from Arc de Triumph. Some good restaurants in the area and lots of shopping. Room was small but comfortable. Went in February so could not use the garden but it looked like it would be great in good weather. Breakfast was great - served in a small front parlor room of hotel. The hotel is deceiving from the outside so don't let that deter you!

Christmas Holiday in Paris Our family used two rooms that were just close enough down the hall. Our adult daughters stayed in a smaller standard room and I sprung for the extra money for the next level up room for the wife and me. If you can spring for the dollars, do it. The rooms were well furnished. They were clean and kept that way. Our room was even large enough for a table and three chairs for some meals together(food in Paris is over the top expensive!Plan to eat a couple of nice meals but make most of your meal a late lunch, the daily specials are great in the bizstros, take advantage of them... grab sandwiches and salads -food cost a FORTUNE!!!!! ) We ate out once a day and ate food from the bakery or grocery other times in our room. Each room had a fridge big enough to keep OJ and water from the grocery. Right across the street from the hotel is a grocery, a bakery and a take out Chinese, down the street is the ORIGINAL "Paul" pastry shop with a section to sit for coffee and pastries in the morning if you like, it was awesome. The hotel is in a safe and convienient part of town, less that 8 min walk to the Arc de Triumph which gets you to the right bank via the metro and this is a major stop for the Air France bus from CDG. You can walk in a slightly different direction to the RER and go to the left bank and out to Versaille and CDG. The hotel staff was amazingly helpful in tips on how to do this and that, get here and there... Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay Buy the week pass on the metro, bring a passport photo to put in the ID 2. BUY THE PARIS MUSEUM PASS, not only do you save money, you save TIME and it gives you freedom to just run into a museum to see their highlight and then move on: like the Thinker @ the Rodin) 3. Buy a phone card: ALL pay phones take the card. 4. DO NOT exchange cash... use the ATM - Even with a bank surcharge and a 1 or 2% fee for foreign transaction, you are better off at the ATM machine.

its a really nice hotel near the arc de triumph and close to the champs elysee. The rooms are quite and clean and have a "french look", so lots of carpets and french interior. breakfast is good and when the weather is fine you can have it in the small beautiful garden behind the hotel. really liked it a lot staying there while i was in paris the last time. price is about 200 EUR per night for a single room.

Nice and friendly hotel. Breakfast area in foyer and slightly cramped and hotel a little further away from the centre than envisaged but a lovely stay overall.
