The telephone did not work in the room and they even did not make an attampt ( no apologies)to fix it. The reception was polite. Breakfast was not bad. The hotel itself is nice, well kept, quiet.

Good choice for business The restaurant about a block west of the hotel, Le Cou de Girafe had excellent food and wine.

Old-fashioned grand B&B that just misses the mark with its decor. In very central location. Marketed by Best Western.1 ml NW of Place de la Concorde, on corner of 2 streets in residential and commercial area, a short stroll from fashionable shopping areas. Some shops, bars and restaurants 100 yds. Bus stop and Metro St Philippe du Roule 200 yds. Exterior: Substantial 7-storey town house (1876). No balconies. Interior: Lavish and comfortable with period decor. Long marble hallway with wooden reception. Amply furnished if mismatched lounge. Modest breakfast room with glass ceiling. No restaurant.

Adequate room, comfortable bed, quiet, excellent restraurants close by and convenient to Metro. Trash can in bathroom was ridiculously small and any attempt to open the lid with foot peddle only pushed the can further out of reach. It would have been nice to have had space in the refrigerator and have it actually chill our beverages. It was a challenge to shower and keep the water with in the tub area.

Great Location This is a very friendly, small, clean Hotel. We could walk to sub-way and sightseeing locations. Take the double decker tour bus (ticket is good for 2 days) and get on & off at various spots.
