Best Western Hotel De Weha Hotel was great except for one odd-ball rule they have. When you leave the hotel they insist (To the point of being ridiculous about it) that you leave your room key at the front desk. The woman tried explaining to me that this was for my security. Maybe someone can explain to me how leaving my hotel room key with a stranger is for my security. Personally, even though the staff seemed like nice people, I would never stay here again just due to this outlandish policy. If I am paying for the room and the room has my valuables inside, then the key stays with me. I wish this policy would have been told to me prior to booking this hotel, because if it had, I can absolutely tell you I would not have stayed here. I really wish that someone from Best Western would contact me and explain to me why I need to keep my key at the front desk as I am now leery of staying at any Best Western. Don’t keep any valuables in your room as "you are forbidden (God help you if you try)" to leave the hotel with the room key that you paid for. You must leave your key at the front desk
