At first glance a so-so hotel, but compared to others we saw in this price range it was very good. Now advertised as being completely renovated which should make it a good choice when in Paris. The desk clerk's restaurant recommendations were first class--great food with elegant atmosphere without being snobbish.

Our main concern in selecting a hotel was if they had AC......supposedly, Acadia Opera had AC. Granted it was pretty hot outside, but our room on the 7th floor was at least 80-85 inside. AC Fan kept blowing but never cooled off the room. Mentioned it to the desk and they just sort of ignored me. Would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone.....besides the AC not working properly, it was extremely noisy.

+ The staff all spoke very good english and were very helpful. - the air conditioning in the room did not work very well meaning we had to have the window open at night, sometimes early in the morning it was noisy outside.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! Unfortunately our room was next to the reception area and the elevator, which made it tremendously noisy during the entire night and very early in the morning. Due to that we were not able to sleep at all which, altohether, made our stay in Paris not very restorative. Our complaints to the staff of the hotel and the wish to change the room were ignored and denied by them. Furthermore, our treatment by them was generally very unsatisfying. Moreover, the price we were supposed to pay was higher than the price we were told in advance by venere.com. However, after discussing this issue with the receptionist we didn't have to pay more in the end (at least). The area, however, is quite nice for people who want to go out at night and who want to go shopping. The metro is also close to the hotel, which is good. The rooms were okay except the TV didn't work either, we had no shower curtain in the bathroom and the beds were too short for us. We didn't have breakfast there because it was way too expensive. So all in all I would advise you to book a different hotel and moreover, I would consider depreciating the hotel's stars to the amount of 2.

My travel partner and I were both aware upon booking this trip that rooms in Paris are small. Our room was actually larger than what I initally expected but still quite small compared to US standards. The biggest thing I had a problem with was that our

The people at this hotel were extremely friendly. The rooms are exactly what they look like. The only thing was you had to pay 2.50 Euro a day for the safe. The metro is about 1 1/2-2 blocks away...very close. There is a main street with a lot of restaurants and shops the same distance away. I would definitly stay here again1

After going around in circles for an hour and a half trying to find the hotel. We were told it was full and were moved to Hotel Lorrett, which was newly renovated and turned out to be right on a metro stop.Slightly further out of the city than we intended, but all in all we were very pleased and would recommend the hotel. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were very clean.
