This hotel has horrible service. i arrived a day late on my reservation, but i had called ahead of time to notify the staff. however, when i arrived they apparently had cancelled my reservation. the front desk practically yelled at me and were VERY rude. they made a big deal of going out of their way to find me a room saying that "all of paris is full;" after making me wait 15 minutes they proceeded to tell me that they would be able to give me a room, which sounds quite sketchy to me. the room was far in the back without a hall light and the AC did not work. all in all, a horrible stay and i do not recommend it. a place like this in the states would surely go out of business. The room that I was placed was not corresponding to the 3 star category it was listed. Rooms are very poorly furnished and stinky, not sound insulated. Nowhere in my reservation was listed anything about the breakfast. When I arrived, I did not have breakfast on the first morning, and this is when the hotel employee at the register assured me that breakfast was included in my hotel price, and even wanted to give me a wake-up call the next morning not to miss it. To my total surprise, the hotel manager charged me 96 Euros for the 4 breakfasts that I had at the hotel (the breakfast consisted of a buffet with the cheapest croissants, yogurt and poor coffee). The hotel manager was very nasty and did not care less about the hotel reputation or customers. I sent emails to the hotel chain management but they did not care about the incident at all.

I would never recommend this to anyone. the concierge gave us wrong directions every time we asked for them. they charged us an extra $180 for our stay and then charged us $180 again alleging that we never paid the first time when they wouldn't even give us the room key before we paid the first time. the maid only made the beds in the room and didn't clean anything else. when we asked for towels she gave us some. very out of the way to the main attractions.

+ The hotel is in a pretty nice area easy to use bus or metro. The breakfast was very good hot eggs and sausage along with bagels juice and coffee. The man at the desk at night was very helpful and polite.

We had a terrible experience at this hotel on May 17, 2006. We asked for twin beds and got a confirmation of this in an email from the hotel. The hotel refused to honor their employees promise. We had NO SLEEP all night and had to travel back to the U.S. the next day. In addition the room was very run down, and the location was far from the area stated. I have traveled extensively in Europe and would absolutely say this hotel is consistent with a two-star rating.

This is a very small hotel. Desk help spoke English, French and Italian, and was very helpful about places to go. Room very small, bed needs to be replaced. Room mostly clean, but carpet could have used more vacuuming. If there was a/c it wasn't on, so I had to leave windows open, and it's very noisy as about ten different train lines run by the hotel at night. I had a double bed, which was a nice surprise. Lots of mirrors, including full length, also a nice surprise. Bathroom was lovely, with huge soaking tub and shower massage. If you don't put do not disturb sign on door, maid will just walk in without knocking. Well stocked mini bar, but much cheaper to buy water and wine from grocery store right next door. Very close proximity to Rome metro stop, which is helpful. Just don't forget that Metro shuts down at 1 a.m., because it is very hard to get a taxi to go up there at night! Pretty far from tourist destinations, but okay with Metro ticket. No dresser in room, which was problematic as there was not enough room to leave my suitcase open. TV small but more than sufficient for my daily dose of news and weather. All in all, better than I expected for my $100 U.S. Dollars.

To say it is in the Opera district is quite a stretch, it was more than a few blocks from that area. As for it being in a quiet neighborhood, that might be true if it were not for the major open Metro terminal/station that was right outside our window. The weekend staff really had no idea what was going on, they had to make a call to find out about getting the remote control for the air conditioner. When we checked into the room we found that the toilet would leak every time you flushed it, so we asked for another room and were told they had to other rooms and to just put a towel down under. Later I went to dry my hair and found that the hair dryer was missing the button that turns it off and on, good thing I had my own. There was mold growing everywhere around the bath tub. Basically the bathroom was nasty all the way around. I kept smelling a mildew scent when going from the bedroom to the bathroom and finally found the reason, the back of the closet was not finished out, at the bottom it was just open to god knows what.

Staff was friendly. Rooms are too small if you are traveling with kids. Overall, facilities are clean.
