I booked this hotel as part of a 1 night stay deal with return tickets on Eurostar included for myself and my sister and it was good value for money if you're on a budget. The Hotel is very conveniently located, with the nearest Metro being Rome, although Place de Clichy is probably not much further in the opposite direction. The hotel is small and the decor is basic but it is comfortable and clean and we really only used it as a place to sleep. The room overlooked the tree-lined road and the apartments opposite and had a floor to ceiling window with typical wrought iron railings. It was fairly noisy at night when the window was open but not unbearable. The bathroom had a sink, shower and toilet and while both the room and bathroom were small they were not cramped. Staff were polite and helpful and spoke some English to go with my little French. We did have an incident where the lift doors opened on our floor (4th) and we found ourselves looking at a wall. We tried to get it to go back to reception and here it opened about a foot above the ground and we had to press the alarm bell until the receptionist came to open the second set of doors and we jumped down. He didn't say anything at all, not even an apology and simply went and sat down behind the desk again, so we took the stairs after that!! Breakfast was cereal, fruit, croissants, juice and hot drinks and was served in the cellar. It was buffet style and there was plenty of food but the tables were very close together. The area around the hotel is fine with quite a few cafes and small shops. Monmartre and Sacre Coeur are within walking distance but all the main sites can be reached quickly and easily by Metro. If you can afford it then stay somewhere a little more spacious and comfortable but if you want to see paris on a budget and simply have somewhere to sleep and breakfast then there is nothing wrong with this hotel. I think many of the other reviewers were perhaps forgetting that this is France and people here speak French but if you try then they will help you. Also it is also the middle of a city and cheap hotels are small and basic!

On my next trip, I think I'll spend a little more money for better accommodations, but for someone looking for a cheap room close to the Metro, this hotel may be perfect.

And last, on corner of rue des Dames/rue Darcet was a boulangerie with heavenly cream puffs.

My credit card is factured 2 times (they paid back after 1 week); very noisy neighbors; "do not disturb" sign is not respected by employees; no soap in the bathroom; our windows were blocked because of exterior painting works...

We were mislead by the photos and description of this hotel on the website. We booked for four people- gave our ages so they knew that there were were no small children. We could not all fit in the room with our suitcases. The fourth bed was a cantilevere

We were mislead by the photos and description of this hotel on the website. We booked for four people- gave our ages so they knew that there were were no small children. We could not all fit in the room with our suitcases. The fourth bed was a cantilevered affair on top of the single bed and was positively dangerous-it would have collapsed under our weight. We did not stay there for even one night- we paid the price for the night and left immediately.
