Ascot Opera Hotel Paris

Ascot Opera Hotel Paris

2, Rue Monsigny - 75002 Paris

A slice of paradise in the centre of Paris. Tucked away in a quiet street in the heart of Paris and just a stone's throw away from the Louvre, Paris' financial trade centre, tourist attractions and shops, the Hotel Ascot Opera makes an ideal place to stay while in Paris. Occupying a mansion, previously owned by German composer Jacques Offenbach, the Ascot Opera owes its character to its exposed beams and tapestry-adorned walls. The rooms have, nevertheless, been designed to meet the requirements of today's guest. This charming three-stars hotel has 36 rooms, all with complete en suite, bathtub shower, toilet, hair dryer, satellite TV and direct-dial telephone. It offers personal safety boxes and air conditioned in all the rooms and a private park. Credit cards are accepted. The hotel is located in the very heart of Paris. Situated in a quiet street near the business and shopping district next to the Opera Louvre. Banks of the river Seine and Palais are in walking distance - 200-500 metres. Notre Dame and Ille de La Cite are about 600 metres.

+ The area surrounding the hotel has a good selection of restaurants, theatres etc. - The room was quite cramped. The air conditioner was either On or OFF, there was no adjustment available. Breakfast consisted of a choice of Natural Yogurt, Cheese portio

Nicely located: 5 min walk to Opera and La Fayette; 10 min walk to Louvre. Lots of restaurants within a 10 min walking distance. Small breakfast area, but I would definitely stay there again.

Rooms´ furniture is old but works perfectly, and the bathroom did not have open ventilation thus after using, the door had to be closed... The breakfast is not included in the room tarif and could be better for 10 euros paid. Front desk personnel is very nice and multiligual, very good service from them.

Simple, friendly hotel in a good, central area close to l'Opera. The decor is looking a little tired in places but the hotel is excellent value and personally I would rather spend less on my hotel and more on my restaurant and bar bills. Hotel staff v.helpful in terms of organising taxis, posting mail for guests etc.
