Good for the Price There is a great flea market near by during the week and the Carrefour Hypermarket is a nice place to get snacks and essentials you may have forgotten.

good location, close to metro station, but 20 district terrifies me, dirty and dangerous black neighbourhood, very small shower cabines but clean and hold in good condition, reasonable price!

Good times Hotel was hidden behind a hospital but very nice. The staff were very helpful, the bar open late and the room was clean. When we travel all we look for in a room is a place to sleep and shower and this fit the bill. The bed was a bit lumpy and the room tiny, but it is Europe so you have to expect that unless you wish to shell out some serious cash. But who goes to Paris to hang out in their hotel room? Traveler's tip There is a metro stop really close; just make sure you get the name right.

Limited appeal; completely isolated from the sights and the action.4½ mls E of Place de la Concorde, on corner of quiet dreary little streets in depressed residential area; almost on periphery of city, 30 yds from busy ring road. Cafes 150 yds. Bus stop and Metro Porte de Montreuil 150 yds.Simple and friendly. Stark formica reception, small basic lounge, intimate bar. Basement breakfast room with piano and billiard table."

I failed to master the wifi connection - the signal was evidently 100% - but the system would not work with my laptop. That of course could have been entirely my fault. Perhaps a guide would have been useful.

Reasonable vlaue hotel Rooms vary immensely in size- we had two singles- one had a double bed and was very small, the other two twins and a better size. One had very small shower, the other had bath with hand held shower. Recently carpeted, but furnishings dated- bedspread and curtains had cigarette holes in.No tea or coffee making facilities in rooms The continental buffet breakfast (not included) was a good starter to the day, but basic. Sauna extra cost.Staff were pleasant and helpful. A decent place to lay your head after a days sight seeing, but about 20 minutes out of Paris centre on metro.

Would recommend. Use Metro,(a Carnet of 10 tickets is much cheaper than single tickets). Also use Batobus on the Seine who operate a "hop-on-off" day pass shuttle service for 6 stops between the Eiffel Tower and the Hotel de Ville, v.pleasant way to travel if you plan your route.

Matchbox -sized rooms Let's start by saying that this hotel either doesn't have any normal sized rooms or they just didn't want to give me one. We had a double bed that took up 95% of the room with 18 inches wide walking space around the bed. Plus, we had so much trouble getting ice, which is only available at the bar downstairs. After the second night, we couldn't get any more ice because they didn't make it.
