Was a great area of Paris to be in and great value for the area. The room was very small so suited to short stays (we were there just one night). Great area to experience real Paris ie Patisaries, deli's, cheese shops etc all 2 secs down the road. Great bars and reasonable prices (compared to the rest of Paris) is a little bit studenty in the bars but great atmosphere is general.

NEVER STAY THERE! Terrible staff. The last day we paid 20 euros extra to stay until 7pm. Then we could spend the last day walking through Paris. When we arrived at the hotel at 5pm, our belongings were all spread through the bedroom, as somebody had tried to move them. Everything was messy so we called the police. The recepcionist of the hotel sad that he thought we had left the hotel despite the fact that we had paid extra to check out at 7pm. Besides that, he wanted to charge us because we used the shower! Yes, he sad that the extra money we paid didn't include the shower, but included only the stay of the suitcases until 7pm. Oh my God! The police had to convince the man that we could take shower since we had paid to stay in the room. Finally we could left the hotel under police escort. The bedrooms are micro, nano. The staff is extremely unpolite. The hotel is dirty. I don't recommend at all.

We are a married couple at the age of 46, and this was the first time we visited Hotel Apollon Montparnasse. The hotel is located about a 10 minutes walking from Gare Montparnasse, and 50 meters from the metrostation Pernety. A very nice and clean hotel which we can recommend to other visitors.

Pleasant hotel on a quiet street near to good boutiques and typically Parisien cafes, convenient for the metro too. Within walking distance of the Latin Quarter (about 1/2 mile)and the Seine/Isle de la cite (about 1 mile). Helpful staff and a comfortable room made this a relaxing and enjoyable visit to paris.

Paris was our last stop on a 3-week backpacking tour of Europe. We found the staff to be welcoming, friendly & knowlegable. The quality and atmosphere for the price for big European cities was exceptional compared to other places we experienced. The room and bathroom were very clean, the shower was comparatively spacious and functional and the mattress was by far the best one we found. It's a little off the beaten path, but close to metro and we really enjoyed the family atmosphere of the neighbourhood. We are not seasoned travellers by any stretch of the imagination, but based on our experience we would recommend the Hotel Apollon Montparnasse to travellers looking for comfort & value.

Like most hotels in Europe the premises are over-heated. On the upside this allows drying of clothes overnight. Fortunately we were able to open windows. Twin room extremely small but the bathroom was excellent. Cute breakfast area & good coffee. Access to Metro excellent and slightly removed from tourist hustle & bustle, but great Parisian ambience.

We enjoyed an excellent stay here! Originally booked a triple room for 3 adults and upon arrival the hotel staff asked if we prefered a single and double room for the same price. This was very appreciated. Small hotel rooms are immaculate and a nice change after other european stays. Little fridge in the room was great as well. Right next to a great bakery and grocery store. Free internet downstairs was a big bonus. We will be returning on our next trip to Paris - without a doubt! One word of caution - when arriving do NOT get off at the Montparnasse tube station and walk the "3 minutes" to the hotel as noted on this site. This is BS and we ended up hauling our heavy luggage for about 45 minutes to find the place. Go to the pernety tube station - it's 1/2 a block away.

My Girlfriend and I stayed in Paris for a long weekend (ages 26&30) and we found the Apollon situated in an excellent position to travel around Paris from. We walked virtually everywhere and only used the tube situated 2mins walk (Pernety) to get to Moulin Rouge (which is well worth seeing). This is a great little holtel very clean with helpful staff. I would recommend it.

This was a great little budget gem in Paris. Friendly, helpful English-speaking staff and a great location within a block of a metro stop and close to bakeries, shops and cafes. Free internet point in the lobby was also appreciated, as was the cleanline
