Do not stay-theft and unhelpful hotel reception Unfortunately, we were pretty pleased with the hotel at first because it is a decent size hotel room in a great location. Three days into our stay, I noticed that my ipod and $600 us dollars were stolen straight from my hotel room safe (along with a misplaced credit card). I filed a police report and have given them a receipt from my new ipod. Since then, I have gotten absolutely no help from the hotel...I have asked about the document that shows who has entered my room (they can’t relay it to me for some reason) as well as what they have done with their own insurance company. I have no answers and most importantly no reimbursement. I am lucky that I’m a cautious traveler and split up my money, credit cards, and left my computer in a safe place. The hotel staff had told me that this was not the first theft and in fact it seemed to be happening on a weekly basis since champs elysees is a hot target. My family stayed in two hotel rooms and what was even more fishy is that after the theft occured, my mother had noticed that her suitcase and shopping bags were open and misplaced (she was keeping an eye out for her stuff at this point). Please do not risk your safety or enjoyment during your vacation and stay here.
