In a nice area with cafes and shops, easy to reach metro (Convention stop), hotel clean with helpful staff

+ good location , - Our room key was given to someone else and they used the room to bring a "female" back to the room. When we arrived back we were not at all happy and reported it to the hotel who did not appear to be too concerned. I will not use this

This was a very unique, welcoming hotel. Very good value, and an amazing location! I had a lot of fun here, I went with my school and this was a perfect hotel for us. Good views of Paris!

If you like places that give you the feel of the culture- this is it. Only three blocks from the Metro at Commerce, and there used to be a market that would set up along the block on Tuesdays with great deals on clothes and jewelry. Not scary at night (although I wouldn't advise it,) and there's a patisserie nearby. The room was a little dingy, but again, we're going with the cultural feel, and I haven't been there since 2001. Large, open windows and great French breakfasts- which are different than ours- they have cream, crossaints, cheeses- really good. ATM located on the street pretty much right outside the door. Clean beds, and an old-fashioned elevator. In three weeks in France, I stayed in probably 15 different hotels- some of which were small and quaint, and some of which were huge and commercialized, and this one was by FAR my favorite.

Although the walls are probably made of cardboard so you can hear EVERYTHING, overall, hotel Ajiel is clean, comfortable and great value for money. The bed was probably the most comfortable bed from a two star hotel i've ever slept in. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. I would definitely recommend Ajiel to those who are traveling to Paris on a budget.

    - Hotel staff could put a smile on their face and the cleaners start early and are very nosey so no chance of a lay in on a Sunday

+ I was very pleased with the hotel and thought it was excellent value for two stars. - The bathroom fan did not work - it was an internal bathroom and needed a working fan to change the air.

    - we booked a double room and found that it was 2 single beds pushed together not really suitable and they do not provide tea and coffee in the room
