Good basic hotel Catch a 68 bus which will take you accross the river and past many places of interest for a few euros.

+ The Hotel Aiglon staff was excellent in assisting a non speaking french guest. The room were much smaller than America's typical hotel room however the room was perfect for our use. I would stay here again .. One additional advantage in staying at the A

The hotel is newly renovated, so the rooms and public areas are nice. 10 euros for breakfast is too much when there is no egg, cheese and ham. (only when you pay extra) We are greatful to Eli at the reception for his kind assistance and for serving us breakfast the last morning when the kitchen staff where late at job.

Would definitely go back If you have more than a short weekend, more than 3 days I woul definitely advise you to visit the local parks. They are fantastic and not normally at the forefront of tourists minds.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in July during the 2006 "heat wave" when it was unusually warm. The room's AC was excellent and we had no problems with remaining comfortable and sleeping well. The "tour montparnasse" is within a 5 minute walk, as well as several places to eat, and the hotel is situation along the #6 line which allows easy metro rides to tourist attractions. No complaints - even the breakfast was a good value (though not included in the price).

A great choice in the heart of a great neighborhood There are terrific crepe restaurants on the rue du Montparnasse, the best of which is the Chez Josselin. Le Select, la Rotonde and la Closerie des Lilas are all around the corner from the hotel if you want to have a pricey drink in a historically significant cafe. The hotel is about a five minute walk from the Luxembourg Gardens. The Fondation Cartier museum is down the street. There is great shopping on and around the rue de Rennes.

Common areas (reception, breakfast rooms) are already most beautiful refurbished. Rooms require some touching-up, but such works are on their way. We had an apartment-type accommodation including a spacious bedroom, own entrance corridor, large bathroom and seperate toilet, even a tiny kitchen. Bathroom and toilet were very nicely fitted, the furniture in the bedroom is lovely antiques, but the room needs a general make-over regarding carpet, wall paper etc. Breakfast is continental style; fair enough. For the moaning ones: Paris is on the continent... get your rashers and beans for breaky on the islands... It's not the Latin Quarter, but the location is fine just off Boulevard Montparnasse with all its cafes and restaurants. Easy metro connections and even in walking distance from the city centre (Eiffeltour, Louvre, Notre Dame), if you don't mind a bit of a walk. Would definitely stay here again.

We spent 3 nights in Paris and we really enjoyd the stay in hotel Aiglon. Very well situated next to Metro Raspail, and many good restaurants and bars in walking distance. The room was big and very clean. The breakfast was small, if you wanted boiled eggs or ham you had to pay ekstra for it.
