This hotel was recommended by the Rick Steeves guidebook and you can't go wrong. The location is superb and the staff are very helpful. The rooms are very nice though not luxurious. The breakfast is more than just bread and coffee. Highly recommended

This is a great little hotel very close to the metro and within walking distance to many attractions. This area is a very quiet area but you do get a great feel for every day life in Paris. I will stay here again!

Once again very satisfied with the choice through this web site. Precise description of the Hotel that is exactly as I expected it to be

Excellent location, just a few minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower and close to the Metro. We stayed for a long weekend. The room was small and a bit grubby. The bathroom was very nice but the lack of a shower curtain or screen was frustrating. The breakfast was adequate. The fantastic location made this average hotel above average

You can't beat the neighborhood--the Rue Cler is charming, and just steps away. The service at the hotel was great, everyone was friendly and helpful. The room (I had a double) was small and noisy (next to the lift), but the bathroom was large and up to 'western' standards. A great value for Paris, just don't expect too much.

I recently stayed two nights at Hotel Beaugency. The room I had was very small and dark, even with the curtains drawn back. The air conditioner either didn't work at night or automatically shut down at night, which sort of defeats the purpose of having an air conditioner. The room was quite humid and hot - and this was in mid-to-late September! The staff at the front desk, however, was very helpful and hospitable. For the price, there are better values out there.

We stayed at Hotel Beaugency for 5 nights. The location is wonderful with it being close to a metro/RER station. I loved the Rue Cler area with all the open air shops, cafes and boutiques. The rooms are small but the bed was very comfortable. All of the staff spoke English which was helpful however don't expect them to plan your trip for you. The room was clean and quiet. I would recommend requesting to stay on the first floor if you can't walk stairs very well as there is a lift but it is extremely tiny. Our stay at Hotel Beaugency was exactly what we were looking for.

I spent one night at this hotel in Paris on my way to the airport. The location was nice, it was very close to the Eiffel Tower and the Invalides if you are interested in sightseeing and there is an amazing Italian restaurant nearby on the rue de Grenelle. The staff was not friendly, but not rude and the room was fine. It looked really similar to what was pictured on the website. The only problem is that it is one of the hotels where there is no shower curtain or shower door so my travel companion managed to spray water throughout the bathroom. Other than that the room was nice.

I stayed at this hotel with a small tour group, and found it thoroughly enjoyable. This was mainly due to a very helpful staff. When I was first assigned to a room that was tiny and dark (overlooking a stairwell) I asked if there was anything they could do, since I tend toward claustrophobia! The very pleasant woman at the desk searched through her computer at some length to accomodate me, and eventually she found another room. I didn't realize until I moved into it that she'd upgraded me from a single to a bright and cheerful double room! (Needless to say, I "remembered" her with a tip when I checked out). The continental buffet breakfast had a good (and fresh) selection of yogurt, breads, cereals, etc. and was a good way to start the day. I agree with other reviewers that it's not a place to stay if you see a lot of your room, so it's probably most ideal for busy tourists....and the location is excellent, with many sights within walking distance.

I have stayed at the Hotel Beaugency 4 times in the last 2 years, and have enjoyed each visit immensely. As others have reported, the staff is very friendly and accomodating, and the included breakfast is very nice. On one visit, my daughters and I stayed in a triple room on the top floor -- while not huge, it was large enough that we didn't feel cramped. The room had a skylight through which we could see the Eiffel Tower. Normally, I stay in a single -- small, but usable. Always very clean. The hotel is 1 block from Rue Cler. This is a lovely pedestrian street with everything you'd need... bakeries, pastry shops, cheese shops, 2 nice wine stores, a couple groceries, etc. The Ecole Militaire Metro station is about 2 blocks away - less than 5 minutes total walk.
