They try so hard, but At least this hotel doesn’t try to pretend to be something it’s not. The big plus is that it’s only a five minute walk to the beach and major pedestrian areas. The big minus is that my hotel room didn’t have air conditioning in late June. I know it’s an older building in an established part of the city, but even a plug-in fan would have been nice. If you open the windows for long enough, it might drop down to 78F in your room, just long enough to sleep a few hours before the morning loudness starts up again. On weekends, you can forget about sleeping. The hotel staff is mostly pleasant, and they keep your key for you when you leave the hotel so that you don’t have to go around town looking for ways to lose it. They say this enhances security. On the other hand, I lost at least fifteen minutes of my vacation waiting in line just so the staff member could finish attending to the person in line in front of me and give me back my key. You can get breakfast for a reasonable price, but I never tried it. For the nighttime heat alone, I couldn’t recommend this hotel in the summer. Maybe you could try it for a budget trip in the spring or fall. Oh well, it was the cheapest hotel and you get what you pay for.

Pleasantly Surprised I was pleasantly surprised. The bathroom had recently been refitted and whilst the breakfast room was small, i had no problem getting a table. Bedroom was functional. Maybe hallway areas could do with redecorating next. Staff were friendly, especially the lady who was around at breakfast time. Great location for staying Nice and gare routiere was just around the corner for getting the bus to Cannes, Monaco, etc.

+ Staff was friendly, hotel location was good, and price was reasonable for a room in the area. - No hair dryer, no shampoo, no internet access, small TV no cable, no HVAC controls in your room, no air conditioning and the rooms are small btu you must rem

If you want to actually sleep, don't go here. The doors are all on spring hinges so they slam ALL NIGHT LONG. It's a really small room too

The room was so bright, cheerful, clean, and so much quieter. The previous room was no comparison. All the staff were exceptionally nice and helpful, great for asking directions and very helpful to suggest tourist attractions and how to use our time wisely while in Nice. I would recommend this hotel, very conveniently located also. Great price for the (second) room that we had stayed in. Our continental breakfast was included, adding to the great value."

good location, but too old building restaurants, stores, square and many attractions near the hotel, seaside by 10 minutes walk. But the room is too small, low quality. The bathroom, no~~... too small to wash..
