Manager was very accomodating upon arrival. He helped with parking our rental car. We booked 4 single beds, but once we got there, there was none available so the manager got us 2 separate larger rooms, #11 & #13. Good, quiet location and near all main streets. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a reservation for two rooms at hotel Esterel in Marseille from July 12 to July 14. Their offer was EUR 275.60. Upon check out we were asked to pay EUR 79.30 pr. night pr. room or EUR 317.20. The receptionist claimed that we had got 2 Quadruple rooms instead of 1 Triple and 1 Quadruple as ordered because the hotel did not have free triple rooms at our arrival, and he was not willing to reduce the price and neither was he able to get in contact with any responsible person from the hotel management (We have also mailed a complaint to the hotel, but did not get any response on that mail). The web site says that the hotel offers guarded parking, but the only parking possibility we were offered was in the street in front of the hotel. The hotel television service offers channels with hard core pornographic material without any warning or access code. The groups eight years old child zapped into this and was very chocked by this. I think this facility makes the hotel unsuitable for families.

There is not enough space in the room but you have a third bed inside, which you have to climb to get into the room. You cannot close the sash - door into the bathroom.

The staff was very friendly and very helpful! The bed cover had a cigarette burn and one towel had a hole but other than that the room was cleaned everyday, the sheets were clean and I didn't demand or expect anything more from a 2 star hotel. The location is perfect, centrally located, away from dodgy neighbourhoods. 5-10 minute walk from the port, and 5-10 minute walk from the main street that has shops. It is also very close to the underground Metro.

although i stayed in Esterel for only one night, i was quite satisfied with their room that is much bigger than i expected! the price was good for the room and facilities provided. Plus the receptionist was very friendly and spoke good english. i recommend it to young students who do not have much money to enjoy 4,5 star hotels, this may be a good choice

Our room was tiny, with a folding bed taking up most of the available floor area. We did manage to prop this up allowing access to the very strange and barely functioning toilet/shower cubicle. The toilet had many dislodged tiles ( needing covering with towel to avoid injury)and a dinky plastic folding door, which almost closed. The Breakfast Room was nice and the breakfast was quite adequate.

good recommendation for tourists searching a 2-star hotel in Marseille. Good price/quality relationship. Tip: Don't take the breakfast in the hotel. The cafes and bistros around are cheaper and much better.

The location is very good, close to subway and everything. The hotel is kind of old and the room not as clean as expected. Yet, people there are very friendly and helpful. Recommended for budget stay.

reservation made for 2 nights, confirmation received but had to move after one night to hotel president.Hotel locates in the neighbourhood, is cheaper and the room was larger and had a bathtub. So after all no problem

This hotel provides minimal amenities. Oldfashioned furnishing, high noise level because window towards "Rue Paradis" (one of the most busiest streets in town). Theres no actual door that separates the room from it´s wash room (just a plastic sliding door). Not recomandable.
