Location to the town centre of Dijon was very good - close - but not in the main street noise and bustle. Pleasant area where we felt safe. Breakfast was good. A shower curtain would improve the bathroom and also a line above the bath to hang any personal washing.

the noise level from the room above mine (room 8) was too much. it sounded as if the people above me were going to fall through the ceiling when they walked around. overall not a bad place though, despite the noise.

Availability of lift service should be shown in web. If I knew there was no lift in the hotel, I would not have chosen this one, because my lady friends & I both had large luggages.

Hotel Thurot was a lovely surprise. I have stayed at many two-stars in Europe, but this was the least expensive and by-far the nicest. It isn't the quaint, old-world hotel some may want, but it is spacious, bright, and very clean with its own charm -- not a dismal plain room like so many budget hotels. The staff spoke no English, yet they tried to be helpful. Was convenient to the train station, but could use a better map on the website. About a 15 minute walk into the historic center. Felt safe walking. I'd stay there again, definitely!

Exactly what a typical **-hotel in France offers: no air-conditioning, no ventilator, a tiny size bath and a simple, no-frills continental breakfast. The facilities were clean and inviting, staff helpful and good marks for the on-site parking facilities (though limited) and proximity to the train station and city center, but still in a very quiet neighborhood. Drawbacks: no elevator to the upper floor, no climate control to battle hot nights. If you come by car: invest in a good map of the city!

A very nice little hotel in a quiet location. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Handy to the railway station and the centre of town. Supermarket, cake shop and dry cleaner just round the corner. Friendly and helpful staff. A little hard to find but watch for signs.

quiet and pleasant hotel; it was extremely hot during our stay in June so the smallish room was rather too warm at night; the bathroom however was spacious and well-equipped. The breakfast buffet was good, although occasionally they ran out of things like croissants. But overall, good value for money, quiet and clean: I would definitely stay there again.

I had problems with my reservation. The room (4 beds) I've booked was already booked. The staff offered me 2 rooms but the price was higher ... As I was warned just before arriving, I had no choise but to accept ...

This was my second stay at this hotel. Good location close to the train station and close to Darcy Garden. As you read a few of the reviews they say they felt the neighborhood was unsafe. I disagree. Some of the older narrow streets may seem a little seedier than center city's wide ones, but if when you leave the hotel you make a left to Rue Victor Hugo, your short walk to the city's center is on a beautiful wide street. Also, at that corner you have an ATM, a great patisserie, and a supermarket. But, if you always go that way you will miss the Creperie Domino which I highly recommend just around the corner in the other direction.
