The hotel is really at the very center of Dijon. It is only 1 minute on foot from the old city and museums. The receptionist was very nice and she was always smiling. The bad part was that the rooms are too little and the hotel needs to be cleaned more. The carpets were too much dirty. We were lucky that our room had a little kitchen. Nice to stay for one or two nights, but do not expect much.

the hotel is well run and well situated. however, i would like to mention that the diluted milk served at breakfast when 1 orders coffee with milk does spoil the coffee. if this could be remedied, the breakfast, if it is included in the room price, is acceptable and reasonably good.

We arrived in Dijon on a Sunday - so it was very quiet with all the shops closed. The hotel staff were very friendly, spoke OK English, and helped us find a small store to buy food and drinks from. The room was a good size and had a nice view out over the street. Definitely no complaints. Best of all, the hotel is in an excellent central location - 10 mins walk from the train station (very easy walk), and just around the corner from the Palace and all the shops. Would definitely visit again...

We arrived around 8pm in the hotel and chose a room of 79 euro (ex bf). The room was normal in size and it had a normal bathroom. Staff is friendly, the room was clean and well-maintained. The location is just great, right in the center, close to all the main attractions of this lovely place! It's certainly a good option for a good 3 star hotel in teh middle of the town, certainly in comparison with other 4stars and 2stars.

The beds had insects. We complained and were rudely told it was our fault because we had opened the window - the insects were not on top of the bed but under the covers. There was no apology, not even friendliness, and certainly no compensation, and on top of that they were trying to blame us. There are other hotels in central Dijon. This hotel does not have character, it's just old, unclean, and with mostly rude staff. I would Not recommend it.

I stayed at the Hotel des Ducs in Dijon in summer 2003. While I thoroughly enjoyed the sights in Burgundy, I can't say that the hotel was up to mark. The receptionist was not particularly friendly nor helpful even when I was conversing in French (look, you don't normally meet a Singaporean who speaks French, do you?). The hotel was old and reeks of a strange, foul smell. But at least the rooms are adequately-sized and the bathroom looks alright. The breakfast is normal but one would expect them to do better considering the price they are charging. The location isn't all that great either. For the price you pay, you would be better off staying at the Ibis, which was not only cheaper but also more centrally located.

Dijon is very beautiful. This hotel is located right in the centre, close to all the places of interest. The hotel was very clean, the staff members very helpful and the price very reasonable. The Staff members are really friendly, I was even given free breakfast. The hotel is great and I will for sure stay there again. I had a really good room, overlooking the city.

We spent a month in France. One of our favorite places was this hotel. The location is amazing -- just steps from the Palais de Ducs. It was easy to fine. And despite the downtown location, there was underground as well as on-street parking. The hotel is a very nice 3-star (comparable to North American chains like the Sheraton and such). My only minor quibble is there is no pool (a rarity in small city hotels in France). If you're looking for a close in location, this is a great pick.

No longer called "Minotel", just Hotel Des Ducs - very well situated just off the Palais Des Ducs. Good sized rooms for European hotels, spotlessly clean, and a great lobby area with free WiFi. All at a price less than others that aren't as good. Very busy, their own parking garage if you need it. Well recommended.
