Great place! Hotel Saint Charles was a great positive surprice for us! We were enchanted by the beautiful interiors and the small garden. Our room was pretty, functional and very clean! The breakfast and other services were excellent!

Wonderfully Unique HAS WIRELESS INTERNET!!! Now that I have gotten out that important fact (which is not listed in the amenities) I can go on to praise the rest of the accommodations. The photos do not do justice to the room interiors - I had expected a bit of a dump with camp-like bunks but each of the 12 cozy rooms have a distinct, cool, character and the beds are extremely comfortable with great covers. Half of the rooms face the cute little street while the others face the small yet beautifully designed pool area. The staff is excellent, the coffee and breakfast are delicious and the bar is quite groovy, so much so that is it frequented by locals (who provide great conversation as well as great local flavor). Located a block from the beach, near a ton of restaurants and shops and one and a half blocks from the train station the location could not be better. I truly enjoyed this hotel and recommend it to anyone who likes an experience that involves people and local culture.
