France hotel prices are exaggerated. The hotel is little and it doesn't own a parking. Cannes is a dirty city in areas not viewed by the tourist.

this is listed as a three star hotel (and it apparently is at the door) but it really doesn't look like it. pretty small hotel run by this one guy who lives in an apartment across street. We were in a 2 star hotel in Nice the night before which I liked

this is listed as a three star hotel (and it apparently is at the door) but it really doesn't look like it. pretty small hotel run by this one guy who lives in an apartment across street. We were in a 2 star hotel in Nice the night before which I liked much better than this. The price quoted at Venere and paid by us was 69 euros, but they had listed it at 60-65, so somehow we paid more for going through venere. Overall it is not a bad deal though; close to train station, the beach, and lots of nice cafes and restaurants close by. also a local market in the same block (in that sense the hotel is at the border of the classier south side and more local north side). the owner/manager was helpful and tried to accommodate us, but again, I would say this is definitely not a three star hotel.
