Date: agoust, 24 2007 At 13:00 o'clock we ask the tourism office in Cannes for a hotel and they kindly contact the Atlantis providing to the reservation. At 13:30 we go on foot to the hotel and they show us the room. We could leave the baggages but the owner invites to us to return later because the room is not ready and moreover there's no parking at that moment, so we go to look for a car parking and for a little walk. At 17:20 we go back to the hotel and they tell us there's no more rooms available because we had to come back between 14:00 o'clock, but nobody told us this particular. After many maleducate arguments we have gone and found a hotel in the way beside the same price but with three stars and with the owners very kind. My wife suffers from panic crisis and the evening she was badly. Avoid this hotel !

We had a last minute stopover in Cannes (during film festival) on our way to Nice. Being this busy time, and needing a triple, we didn't think we would get in anywhere. This hotel didn't have a triple available, but the Manager gave us 2 rooms at a discount (well it was still fairly pricey due to festival time). The rooms were fairly basic and oldish, but for one night we weren't bothered. I was a bit worried the noise might carry through the walls, but whether we were just too exhausted to notice, we didn't hear a thing. The front desk staff were quite helpful and the location was great - we walked out the front door and strolled down the street a block and arrived (unexpectedly) at the red carpet with Brad Pitt, Matt Damon and Ocean 13 cast - who would remember the hotel room, when we had those handsome men to remember.

We stayed in the Atlantis in July 2003. Although the accommodation and decor is fairly standard for this type of hotel, it was very clean and the room facilities were very good - table, chairs, mini fridge, cable television and very welcoming, powerful air-conditioner. The location is excellent, right by the shops and about a 1 minute walk from the train station, so great for getting around the cote d'azur. It is about a 3 minute walk from the croisette and the palais des festivals and the airport bus pick up stop. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful and even let us use their internet a couple of times. We can't wait to go back to Cannes and would be happy to stay here again.

We have booked a room for a week at this hotel, over the internet. When we arrived we were told that the price is actually 5 Euros more then what we had at the time of booking. We were asked to pay the full amount (i.e. for 7 nights) at the check-in time (which is weird since we paid at all the hotels when we checked-out). I guess they wanted to make sure we stay. The room was dark with a small window looking into an interior courtyard where was a house of pigeons (and their smelly large amounts of droppings) and garbage. Therefore we couldn't open the window. The A/C was blowing the air right on your head (the room was very small) so basically there was no way to sleep with it turned on. Anyway, the air was awful and all of us had respiratory problems after first night. Walking in socks in the room on the carpet, turned them from white into brown. We decided to look for another hotel and we moved out. To get the refund for the remaining 6 nights wasn't easy. It took us 3 days with multiple visits back to the reception to get our money back. Atlantis Hotel - Cannes: just a bad experience.
